Princess Knight: New Omnibus Edition

Exactly what I ordered, the entirety of Princess Knight in one pristine package. Also the story is very good, funny, and surprisingly open minded for the time period 👍

I wanna give it five stars. Period. I don't wanna fill out a survey to give it this rating . So I will no longer be using this rating feature at all. Make things simple for people not harder

The pacing in this book is so wild but truthfully thats just how vintage comics were. The art is so gorgeous with such genius fourth wall breaking moments that i fell deeply in love with. This is also my first Tezuka book, absolutely will not be my last.

Great read. Only issue was manga arrived slightly bent at one edge. Barely noticeable but couldn’t give a 5 star review

It's pretty decent but the thin pages are a bit annoying to read through as you can see previous pages' ink behind it, it's distracting. Honestly I didn't like the story since it felt random and all over the place but it's a 60s manga so it's kinda exactly what I asked for.

Princess Knight ist der Shojo Klassiker vom Godfather of Manga Osamu Tezuka. Von diesem Werk gab es verschiedene Versionen, dieser Ausgabe liegt die von 1963 zugrunde, also nicht die Erste von 1953. Worin sich diese unterscheiden weiß ich allerdings nicht. Kodansha fasst hier die komplette Story in einem dicken Sammelband zusammen. Das Design ist sehr schick. Das Papier allerdings vergleichsweise dünn, sodass die andere Seite durchscheint. Trotzdem die wahrscheinlich beste Möglichkeit, diesen Klassiker auf Englisch zu lesen, die 2 Bände von Vertical aus dem Jahr 2011 dürften so ziemlich vergriffen sein.

Um clássico dos anos 60 recebendo uma nova edição em inglês em pleno 2022. Só por isso imagina-se o valor desta obra. A edição em si é simples, porém, penso que vale a pena. Como temos aqui um mangá "tudo em um", podemos imaginar que trata-se de uma edição "tijolão". Tudo está lá, a história completa (no caso, esta é a segunda versão desta história, redesenhada pelo mestre de 1963 a 1966). Quanto a história, esta obra do "deus do mangá" Osamu Tezuka dispensa recomendações. Um clássico.
