Great product! The retinol is strong for my face, but I also have a little sensitivity. My son uses it too and loves how it clears up his face breakouts.

I bought this product for it’s retinol content to help control my acne, in addition to it’s “anti-aging” properties. Along with the rest of my regimen (applying this product after washing with 10% benzoyl peroxide 2x daily, followed by zinc-oxide 46SPF sunscreen in the morning), using this product has helped dramatically improve my skin. I (a 26y/o male) went from having oily skin, numerous blackheads and comedones popping up almost daily (worsening since I’m growing out my hair), to nearly zero acne with less-oily skin in about a week. I’m also noticing a mild reduction in the size/depth of smaller ice pick scars left by previous acne/blackheads. I find this product much less irritating than prescription-strength retinoids, which typically would make me very susceptible to sunburn, even with sunscreen. At worst, this product makes my skin tingle and warm a bit. It’s critical you follow up this product with a cosmetic-grade sunscreen meant for use on faces before you start your day, because (like any retinoid) this product will increase your susceptibility to sunburns. I believe that a lot of negative experiences I’ve read in reviews for this product could have been avoided with sunscreen. It’s also natural that if you’ve never used retinoids before, you might experience worse irritation in the first few weeks, and then your skin adapts to the product. Beyond its clinical value, I think the cream provides a great experience as a facial product: it comes in a nice glass jar, has a pleasant and mild aroma, and it applies easily and evenly to your skin—initially leaving a glossy sheen that quickly dries to your natural skin tone after a couple minutes.

The wrinkles in my upper lip are practically gone I,m 95, so it,s 5 star for me.

I started using this nightly after my dermatologist recommended a retinol cream (coupled with hyaluronic acid serum). I love the way it feels and smells and really noticed a brightening of my skin and minimizing of fine lines. I found it to be pretty gentle and didn’t have any issues with burning or irritation, and am always careful with sunscreen since I was warned than retinols make you more susceptible to sunburn. But beware: I found out the hard way that waxing is not compatible with retinol use and you should stop using this for a few days before having your brows waxed. I wasn’t warned of this and the wax ripped skin off my eyebrows. It was pretty painful and took about a week to heal. After the fact, I googled and found out this important bit of info. This phenomenon isn’t brand dependent… if you’re using a retinol product be careful when waxing!

UPDATE. OK so it has been a couple of weeks now and honestly I am NOT impressed with this product. It did not bother my skin bu not only did it do absolutely nothing for my skin BUT it makes my skin feel almost waxy and seems to make flaws worse. It is heavy and sticky also. Today was a humid day and what I have noticed since coming home is how sticky my face feels. It is like I used glue for makeup. Not worth the price. I feel ripped off. My wrinkles are not that bad so I think this should have done something. Og, and not only no youthful glow but I look ill. I expected better. I will go back to the one from Paris or Olay. Light and you do glow a little bit. I was not expecting magic but did expect something I just received my order and of course had to run right in, follow instructions and use it..Yes, it stings a speck but most of these things do. I have super sensitive skin which is why I went with this brand. I have tried 2 others. I was happy with the jar size. It looks double the last brand I bought. It is not but it is a healthy size jar. People who run out must apply with a trowel. A pea size covered all over. I did a speck more on my neck. 2 days later and the tingle has stopped. I swear my skin looks brighter. The others I have used would roll off if I touched it. This is silky and absorbs with no yucky layer remaining. My skill n is super sensitive yet no problem here. I think some people are looking for attention or a freebie. Yes, some may be allergic but are probably allergic to others as well. You must be responsble for yourself.. If you are allergic to nuts would you eat them on Purpose? Thanks to the good reviewers. You eased my mind and I am happy so far. The smell is similar to self tanners not that bad and now I do not notice it

I used this cream to improve wrinkles, but after using it for a while, I noticed a stinging sensation on my skin and had to stop using it. I think this product shouldn't be used long-term, especially on areas with thinner skin.

I love this moisturizer - have used it for years on my very dry skin, along with the serum. I'm 73 and get told I have beautiful skin - and I always say "thank you, and it's thanks to my Neutrogena retinol." I believe it works!

It is unacceptable that this product arrived without an ingredient label or packaging, especially considering that this particular cream can have very harmful effects if used incorrectly. This is a violation of EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.

Esta crema de Neutrogena con retinol funciona muy bien si se usa correctamente. El retinol es un ingrediente potente para combatir arrugas, manchas y piel apagada, pero puede provocar irritación si se aplica sin cuidado. Consejos de uso: Úsala solo por la noche, con la piel limpia y seca. Comienza con días alternos para que la piel se acostumbre. Evita el contorno de ojos y combínala con una buena hidratante si tienes piel sensible. Durante el día es obligatorio usar protector solar, o puedes sufrir rojeces o manchas. Resultados: En mi caso, a las 2 semanas noté la piel más suave, luminosa y con menos textura irregular. Las líneas finas se ven algo más difuminadas. No hace milagros en pocos días, pero sí mejora la piel visiblemente con constancia. Textura y aroma: Es ligera, nada grasa, se absorbe rápido y tiene un aroma suave que desaparece enseguida. En resumen: Muy buen producto si sabes lo que estás usando. No es una hidratante cualquiera: es un tratamiento eficaz y serio. Ideal para pieles adultas que buscan un cambio visible, pero gradual y seguro. La recomendaría
