Malibu 10' x 10' Vinyl Pergola

Finally getting time to get this pergola installed. It's not difficult to do but you must pay close attention to the instructions especially when putting the main beam piece together, MAKE SURE YOU USE THE PANELS WITH THE PRE-DRILLED HOLES; very important. This item is made of sturdy vinyl material. Another recommendation, when using shims as per the instructions around the post; use 1/4" not 1/2". The columns will slide over the post easily, if not you will have to trim them down to fit, which makes the installation longer. I even tried soapy water on the inside to help it slide; it didn't work. I am so happy with this purchase and the elegance it added to my backyard, not I can relax and enjoy it and not worry about staining or rustproofing.

A great product at a reasonable price. The shade has made our deck so much more usable. The fabric cover does a great job of providing shade. It took two of us all day to install. I wish I had bought the arches to add some rigidity. I will be adding them. My only wish, the fabric shade rolled up easier. We have to remove it every time there is a threat of a storm or it would destroy it. Be prepared to fiddle with the cover if you have frequent storms.

Are very happy with this pergola. Looks great on our patio. Took two men about 4 1/2 hours to assemble, but they both have construction experience. The manufacturer was very patient with our questions (and we had a lot of questions). Do your due diligence and prepare. There are a few key parts you will have to buy.

Attached the shade using PVC screen molding and stainless screws. Then used ss pulleys to make it into a Roman shade since we only needed shade on one side.

Would have been nice if in the description it included all the additional hardware you need to actually install this. Knowing you need 4x4x8' pressure treated posts when you buy this would be ideal. Not fun scheduling an installation and having to run to the store to get parts when you thought you bought everything you needed.

I have had this pergola for 3 years now and it's a beautiful addition to my backyard - however the shade needs replacing. Do you offer replacements?
