Wireless IP Camera - SUNLUXY 720P HD WiFi Baby Monitor Night Vision Indoor Security Camera Motion Detection

UPDATE: After a couple months using this camera -- solely to see out the window -- it has in recent weeks turned on its own and pointed itself at US, inside our home. It's never done that before, and it's super creepy. Another reviewer also mentioned this. I imagined when I bought the camera that someone else could easily have control of it, but never thought it would happen. We unplugged it and deleted the apps.-------This is an indoor cam, but I got this to mostly watch out the window. Setup was fast, but can be tricky if one isn't technically inclined. I don't see my aunt or grandmother setting this up on their own.Once connected to wifi, the cam works, but the features have clunky solutions. Entering SMTP and email login settings to get email notifications, entering an FTP server address to save video. That sorta thing. I have an sd card in there to record video, but I own no device that can even accept/downlod Micro SD. So, stupid me for buying the card.Pointing it out the window doesn't work at night, because the lights from the cam reflect back into itself, disabling night vision. Not necessarily a knock on the product, but something that needs to be stated in case you wanted it for that purpose.In the day it works fine, allows us to see outside.

It worked fine initially. But 2 months after setup, the app won't connect and keep asking password. After many tries resetting the camera from bottom, the reset finally took. BTW, you have to insert paper clip into an unmarked hole instead of the hole marked RESET. Keep pressing it for 20 + seconds and will hear reset sound like windows boot up sound. Reset the password.Now that it finally works, the biggest problem is the view is very blurry and no way to adjust it.Defeats the purpose of having such camera.If vendor will get back with me to resolve this issue, I will adjust rating.

Interesting little camera. Setup was a bit of a pain, however, I plugged it directly into my router to set it up and that made it go much quicker. Once it was set with the software, I disconnected from the router and it went into wireless mode. It has been working fine ever since. The ap is minimal and if I am not on Wi-Fi, there is quite a large lag between commands and the camera's response, however, it has been working ok. The cameras do have an issue with looking out of glass after dark. There is normally too much reflection to see anything outside. I have not tried mounting these outside yet.

Took me a bit to get the camera to work. I wanted to do a reset and while there is something that says reset on the bottom of the camera, there is no reset button. I managed to get the camera working on my IPhone and Ipad using the QR code on the bottom of the camera once I got the app (ImegaCam) loaded. I tried to install the same app on my android devices, but couldn't get the app to work. The camera shows images in color when there is enough light and goes to grayscale when it reverts to IR. The picture quality is really good for the price. Once I used the app (on the IPhone or Ipad) it took a few minutes to get used to directing the camera as there is a momentary delay when you swipe your fingers. Once I became used to that, scanning a room became easy. I am really happy with the camera and the quality of the picture.UPDATE: The IP camera I received froze (the camera would not respond to commands) when I tried to use the microphone to speak to my wife. I contacted the seller and they responded promptly and they are going to send me a replacement. I like the IP camera and I am more than satisfied with the sellers prompt responses to my inquiry. I would have no issue ordering from this seller again in the future.

This camera is extremely difficult to operate. I followed what directions there are and it worked fine the first time but after that it will not connect to my android smartphone. btw there isn't any customer service nor anyone to contact for help with this camera. At this point I would not recommend this product nor the seller. Period

I could never get it to work wirelessly, I could never put it to work wireless, I have it running with the direct cable and sometimes it moves alone

Camera stopped working after two months. I reached out to the customer service email address (1 year warranty) no response. It was been over a week. If you buy this, do not consider the non existent warranty as a benefit.

Could not get it to work- there is no reset button on the bottom!! Therefore, I could not ever get it to properly connect.
