Great toner, beautiful shades
I adore this line of toners. I mix Smokey Pearl with Cool Beige and a 7 volume developer to get my favorite result. The people who are disappointed by their results don’t understand the basics of a toner- you have to lighten your hair to a level 8.5 9 or 10 to have toners really work, if you’re a level 8 or so you will get away with a more subtle result and subtle further lift, anything 7 and above the developer is going to lift your hair a bit more but not be able to deposit the toner properly. That is why if you have highlights or light brown hair, the developer and toner will tone your highlights, but lift your natural hair slightly and leave it orange. The reason I use a volume 7 developer is bc I have a full head bleached to level 9 or 8.5, and want the least amount of further lift, and the most amount of color deposit from the toner. This toner has absolutely gorgeous undertones, pearly and cool but with the slightest beautiful peachiness in there too that keeps it from looking gray. And you can mix the 3 as you wish.

All time favorite product. Easy to do with quick outcome.
All time favorite product. As a school teacher and mom, I can lighten my hair at home. I love the price, convenience and the quality of the product. I use it multiple times a year and it leaves my hair feeling smooth and strong. The company video guide on how to properly apply the product is very informative.

This toner will get you platinum!
I have naturally dark brown hair. I started having my hair bleached to platinum right before the pandemic. So I learned through trial and error to maintain it the last few years. After using the infamous Wella t18, Schwarzkopf... This one always takes out the yellow and the oranges perfectly. After toning I do not have to use a purple conditioner for at least a couple weeks. Skip the trial and error and just get this one. I also like the cool beige if I'm wanting to go a little darker. This is the perfect product line and can save you thousands of dollars a year once you are comfortable doing it yourself.

Better results than expected
I've been doing my hair at home for years now and typically Wella toners are my go to for affordable and fast results. I stumbled on these and thought I'd give them a try as shimmer lights is the OG of purple shampoos. First, I want to make it known that I intentionally used a 20 v developer instead of the recommended 10 because I wanted some of the gold to lift. This isn't always necessary and if you're new to doing your own hair I would highly recommend you stick to using 10 v per the instructions. I mixed the colors Platinum Ice and Smokey Pearl equally with two parts developer as directed, left in towel dried hair for 25 minutes and I'm impressed with the results! I love that these toners are a cream for easy application and reuse. My hair was a little dryer afterwards than it typically is when I use Wella but the damage was mininal and the results were worth it. I did a quick hair mask (which I always recommend) after toning and the dryness was gone. Keep in mind that these two colors are meant for level 10 hair (the color of the inside of a banana), and not dark yellow or orange hair. I would recommend the Beige for anyone that's not quite at a level 10 yet.... I will be purchasing again!

Great product.
I really liked this toner my first time trying it & it help to reduce copper tones at least by 50 % on my hair after bleaching, I also found it's a better price than Sally's.

Only use this if you’re a level 9 or 10
Used this with volume 10 developer, I targeted my roots which are a level 8 but it didn’t really tone because it’s a bit too dark. Worked wonders on my lighter hair, beautiful even color, not too extreme. Easy to work with, has a nice smell, and leaves hair shiny.

WARNING!! Made my hair more yellow instead of removing brass!!
WARNING!! Made my hair more yellow instead of removing brass!I used to be a fan of their silver shampoo a few years ago (when I was a broke student). Great for removing brassiness but harsh on hair. Nowadays I've switched to a healthier brand but the schampoo is a great budget option. WARNING again, DONT USE UNLESS YOU WANT MORE BRASS!!
