I measured one of mine, and it stands just over 11 inches from the bottom of the tank, about an inch or so lower than my existing fill valve. Installation is extremely simple, and I have installed in tanks with both front and side flush handle sitings. **Q: Will this work with tanks that doesn't have overflow tube?** A: No, if there is no overflow tube, it can't be mounted or at least without engineering some way to secure it.
