Its good for small things to grid but for little higher quantity chutneys and all better prefer a little deep mortar to grind comfortably.

It's very very heavy like it should be. Beautiful craftsmenship. It looks absolutely gorgeous in my kitchen. They sent it packed with dried wheathusks instead of any plastic paper which I really appreciate. Very eco-friendly thought indeed. Loved the product.
