Great fit for my utility trailer side-wall build
I used these U-bolts when adding removable side walls to my utility trailer. The frame is built with 2x3 studs and 1x8 boards, and these bolts provided a solid connection to the trailer rail. Good fit, sturdy construction, and easy to install. Exactly what I needed for this project.

Wrong inner diameter
It's a nice bolt but the inner dia dimension is not what's advertised it's 1-5/8" so if that's critical heads unfortunately I need the correct size,p/s I measured them all just to make sure all the same.

Lightweight U-Bolts
I should have realized that for the price I paid for them, these would be relatively lightweight and have relatively lightweight galvanizing coating. These are definitely not for heavy duty saltwater trailer applications that take main loads from the boat. For other applications, maybe.

Great with a good price
I often go to ACE Hardware due to being very reasonable on nuts and bolts by the box. These were twice the price at ACE. I'm very happy with these but they do use M8 1.25 threads instead of the 5/16. They were used to anchor heavy duty raised expanded steel on a ramp gate for a trailer I'm custom building. I wanted a two car trailer that has one large built in ramp. To raise and lower the ramp gate with no strain, I bought the Gorilla Lift kit thru Amazon. I'm very impressed with it also and their customer support. I needed to modify their kit slightly and they let me know it would be no problem.
