Just started using this product and it does exactly what it says. Calms you down. I haven’t started taking the 2nd capsule yet but plan to after a bit longer getting used to the 1st capsule. Price and quality of the product is good too so gave this 5 stars. Nutricost seems to do a good job keeping its products clean, with no smells or residues.

I left the review at 5 because the brand is terrific and this reaction is not their fault. But I do want to share so others are aware. There are several benefits that led to purchasing this supplement. I always research interactions and side effects prior to trying one. I have bipolar 1 and ADD-inattentive. I take effexor, lamictal, and adderall for those dx. I also take desyrel (I don't sleep AT ALL without it), and aricept to prevent more cognitive decline. I took it with my noon meds. I thought I was having a heart attack. Extreme nausea and vertigo started after about 20 minutes and I had to lie down. Followed by severe tachycardia, chest pain, and headache. I couldn't even get up to use the bathroom. By the time those symptoms eased off, I was freezing like I had a fever, but my temp was normal. This and impaired coordination lasted the rest of the evening, but the following morning everything was normal again. I knew it acted as a dopamine precursor similar to adderall, but none of my research listed that as an interaction. Nevermind the fact that the symptoms were more similar to serotonin syndrome than stimulant overdose. Just proceed with caution if you have similar dx and a medication regimen like mine.

Definitely has an effect on my energy levels. Tastes a bit weird but it doesn't last because it's in a capsule. Pretty good value.

Great supplement that gives you an extra boost in your step. If you can’t tolerate caffeine give this supplement a try. I take it daily.

This is dangerous! It's way too powerful at 40% L-Dopa. I took the recommended dosage of 2 capsules, and I felt like I overdosed! The following day, I felt really dizzy like I was drunk, and it messed up my ear drums which felt like I got an ear infection where I couldn't hear anything properly. The ear infection feeling went away the following day. I lowered the dosage to 1 capsule, and it still makes me dizzy like I just drank some alcohol. The following day the dizziness increased like I just drank a 6-pack of beer. I felt like was walking around drunk all day, and it affected my ear drums again. And the effects didn't go away for almost a month!!! After doing more research I have found that some doctors say above 20% L-Dopa is dangerous. And you should only take it once every 2 weeks or once a month! I think 50mg's of this would be enough for someone with normal dopamine levels, instead of the 400mg's per capsule. I will be switching to a less potent brand that has 15% L-Dopa. Or I might switch to L-Tyrosine which doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, so you can't overdose.
