Remote madness - Bird owners be warned
Let's start off with the positives. The fan works well and is relatively quiet. The light is bright yet dimmable. I like that you can adjust the color temperature. It looks modern and I like that also.Installation is a bit of a pain. The celling fans I've installed (quite a few) have a hook to temporarily suspend the fan in order to leave your hands free to make the wiring connections. I had to have my wife get on a ladder and hold this fan while I made the wiring connections. Not convenient at all.REMOTE MADNESS: This fan is in our family room where we have our TV. We use our Roku remote to control the TV. We also have a Visio surround sound system that we control with another remote. The problem is that those two remotes cause the fan to turn on and the fan light to turn on. So, we have to keep the fan remote together with the remotes for the TV and sound system because the fan and light are always turning on when not wanted. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING.BIRD OWNERS BE WARNED: I purchased this fan to replace a traditional ceiling fan whose blades presented a constant danger to my parrot. I felt the enclosed blade design would be safer, and it is. Unfortunately, what they don't really show is that at the top of the fan is the air intake area and that is open to the fan blades. I have taken some mesh and glued it over those openings. Now my green cheek conure can't just fly up into those openings. So, this fan is safer for him than a traditional fan.I'm keeping the fan because it is safer for my parrot. If I didn't have that concern, the issues with the remotes would easily be enough to make me want to return it.

I love this small, lightweight fan/light
If you are a lady and trying to be a bit more independent in DIY around the house and want to change out an old, ugly ceiling fan or just remove a ceiling light and replace it with both a fan and a light, you CANNOT go wrong with this ceiling fan & light. This is so lightweight - the worst of a DIY with this fan is if you are replacing an old ceiling fan which, if yours was like mine, the old one was HEAVY! Putting this fan up is so easy mostly because it is so lightweight, but also because it is a nice fan. Flip the wall switch and then just use the remote control to turn it on and off. I put this in my guest room as I didn't want a big fan in that room and because it is white, it blends well with the ceiling. Even though it is smaller, it still moves the air and the light is plenty strong enough. If you have kids, this would be a good fan/light fixture for their room. I am very pleased with this fan/light.
