This casserole fills the gap left in my cooking dishes left whenI converted to an induction hob. I can now use one less dish by preparing and cooking my casseroles all-in-one. It gets a thumbs up from my washer-up-in-chief too. Handles do get hot, but an oven glove sorts that out. mA really good buy, and not too heavy for ageing arms.

When I read some of the reviews like the handles get too hot? They will get as hot as whatever you are cooking? The bottom isn't flat? It is? The lid doesn't fit? It fits as it should? I have the 20 cm dish and it's perfect for one or two people. Don't let the negative reviews put you off. I have an induction hot plate and it works as good as any other pan I have.

Lockdown has us doing crazy stuff, like the desire to make a casserole for the first time in 35 years.So I ordered this. Lovely and light weight. Sauteed on my induction hob. Evenly distributed heat. Handles DO get hot! Put straight into oven and ta da- my lockdown casserole.I saw many reviews negating the dents in the lid. This is actually genius as it stops the water dripping back into the pot and also all around the sides when you lift the lid.The pot does not stain- i threw in tonnes of turmeric! It is non stick. Cooks deliciously. Actually better than Le Crueset because I don’t need muscles to lift it’

Much more better than transitional electric slow cooker. 6, good size. 7, save gas. 8, taste yummy ! If you use the normal pan to cook mixed vegetables and meat , that would be water is water vegetable is vegetable meat is meat. Normal pan can’t mix all together. But this one can ! Everything mixed very well! Thank you.

I think this compares very favourably with the very heavy, expensive, cast iron and enamel casseroles. I used it straight away for a steak and kidney stew, started on the hob and finished in the oven. It did a great job and cleaning it afterwards was as easy as anything.My one warning would be that as the handles are part of the aluminium body they are not insulated and heat to the same temperature as the rest of the pot (as does the lid), even on the hob. You must use oven gloves or tea-towels to touch it during and immediately after cooking, whether it has been in the oven or on the rings.It's a nice size for one or two people, as expected, but probably too small if you're cooking for four.

I was given an instruction sheet of cardboard attached to the pot handle on delivery and read every word and have suffered no ill effects from touching the hot handles, without gloves/mittens, or, doing anything else silly with it in my kitchen. I've attached pictures below for folks to read before they buy, hopefully they all have the appropriate kitchen attire to safeguard their extremities from being burnt, etc!!!The Pot is dead easy to clean and cooks chicken and meat and any vegetables and potatoes tenderly, wish I'd bought one year's ago. My only observation is that it isn't very good for doing any quick meals as it takes a while to get really hot and the food to stay warm long enough when you empty it out onto a plate, lengthy cooking times on/in the hob/oven are far more desirable.

After years of trying to scrub glass casseroles clean, and knowing that with reduced lifting capacity I couldn't handle a cast iron casserole I found this gem on Amazon. So light weight, so easy to clean, I just add suds before we sit to eat. A quick wipe and rinse after dinner and it's good to go again. The "cow's udder" like inner lid directs the steam back into the pot and prevents boil dry, and the gravy that results seem so much richer than my usual one. I bought the silicone handle and knob cover, and would advocate you do too as it gets super hot - and even these cannot be touched with an ungloved hand, one small niggle. I bought the baby of this casserole family this week for when it's just himself and me having bought the four litre one for big freezer restocks recently and being a total convert to the brand.

When it said lightweight in the description they meant it, it's good to have a pot which is so versatile for use in the oven. I used it for a joint of beef brisket and left it in the oven on the slow setting overnight, came out perfectly done and not dried up at all. The pot cleaned so easily afterwards too, no scrubbing just immersed in hot soapy water and a quick wipe. My only niggle is, why the inside of the pot lid isn't smooth and flat. Recommended buy. Edit so pleased with this pot and it's performance, I've now treated myself to the 4 litre shallow casserole dish, lightweight and will be so useful over the coming winter months.
