Good Replacement
Used this on a 1981 CJ8 to replace all of the door hinge bolts, windshield bolts, and tailgate bolts and still had some left over. after tirelessly realigning my doors I started to use an impact. the bolts have held up well to the abuse.

90% solution for TJ Wranglers. Good kit but you'll need additional parts.
The bolts themselves are excellent and this kit is a 90% solution for a TJ Wrangler (97-06). My only complaint is they do not fit the rear tailgate hinges on TJ Wranglers whereas the listing advertisement specifically says they do. I also highly doubt the fitment on older YJ's as well. These bolts are all 7/8" long, which is the same length for the majority of the TJ's body bolts. Two exceptions are the door hinges where the hinge bolts to the door itself... those are 5/8" long, however these 7/8 bolts do fit there without any interference with the window mechanism. The other exception is the tailgate hinges... both where it mounts to the body and the gate itself. The factory bolts in those locations are 1 1/4" long. I was able to thread these bolts into only one hole on the tailgate hinge (body mount side), but not the other. So I've been trying to order these same 5/16" stainless torx bolts in 1 1/4" length and it has proved to be difficult. These bolts are hard to find. Many places offer them in smaller sizes with hex key (Allen Wrench), or security torx versions (with the raised pin in the head), or regular painted steel... but not flathead torx in stainless. So far Fastenal is the ONLY place I've found that stocks them, but they want a small fortune for shipping for 8 lousy bolts. You won't find these at any hardware store either... not in stainless with torx heads, they're going to be either phillips, slotted, or hex head. It may not matter to some but I wanted all the body bolts to match so I only need one set of Torx bits instead of hex keys, phillips, and slotted bits. Those Allen head bolts will strip quickly if they get in a bind and they're tough to drill out. Torx under most circumstances will not strip or round out. Oh, one final note on the quality of the stainless... it's rather good. I places a couple of these in a cup of salt water for 3 weeks and took them out yesterday.... not the slightest sign of oxidation or corrosion. Just thought I'd point that out because many cheap grades of stainless do indeed rust. Hope this helps. I'm not sure why this kit includes 44 bolts of this size as no Wrangler uses more than 24-26 of them.

Not Really Right
The heads on these bolts are a bit deeper than the factory bolts. So, although they thread into the countersunk pockets just fine, they protrude from the surface a small amount. It’s frustrating. If the bolts were generically described as being 5/16”-18 x 7/8” (ish) flathead torx bolts, I wouldn’t complain. But they’re marketed specifically as being a direct replacement for Wrangler windshield-area bolts—and they really aren’t.Anyway, I’ll include a picture with my review. The difference is pretty minor. But hey, if you’re the kind of anal-retentive person who is special ordering replacement bolts, those little differences matter to you, right?!
