Nordic Ware Bundt Cake Keeper, Plastic, 13 in L X 12 in W X 7 in H, Red

This is a great bundt keeper! I find it is the perfect size for a 10-cup bundt, even if heavily decorated with icing and berries and stuff.I will happily continue to use it for as long as it lasts. I dropped it on tile once; it survived with no issue. I normally hand wash it, but after one particularly sticky rum cake, I ran it through the top rack of my dishwasher; it survived that with no issue too. The plastic is thicker than many keepers I have owned in the past.All that good stuff said: the "lock" does nothing. I wouldn't even bother mentioning it as a feature because it's so meaningless. The lid sits in a little groove in the base. You can twist the lid slightly to move two humps on the lid into two slots in the groove of the base. But it is not secure in any way. Locking does not allow you to lift the carrier by the lid, and it doesn't stay-- if you're carrying the carrier (from the bottom, obvs) and you jiggle it back and forth just a little, the lid is prone to unlocking. It doesn't provide any kind of snugness between the lid and base at all.If you don't care about the lack of lock feature, this is a great keeper.

I have a small kitchen so everything must fill multiple roles, even a cake keeper. I recently started baking again and needed to be able to store cakes. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality when the Nordic Ware cake keeper arrived, it is sturdy and well made. I am also happy to report that the base has a nice lip to hold a bit of liquid. Since I make pineapple upside down cake regularly I can use this container for that as well as bundt cakes. It's tall enough for any single layer cake you'd want to store and is formed of thick plastic so should last quite a few years.

I love the fact that this keeper is not overly bulky like so many others along this line. I like the more streamlined look; plus, it takes up less space in a cupboard. The size for me is just right.This is not airtight. The twist-lock mechanism only serves to keep the lid secure enough for transporting (it keeps the 2 pieces together). The twist-lock feature is pretty loose and doesn't actually clamp the lid down to the base any tighter than when the lid is sitting in the unlock position, hence the 4 stars.Now my big gripe ... which will not affect the star rating because this has to do with the seller and not the product. As of the writing of this review, this keeper comes with 3 different base colors - red, green, and yellow. This should not be a 'let us pick the color for you' situation. This is a large enough item that often sits out on the counters in our kitchens - kitchens that have color schemes. If there are 3 colors available then the choice should be ours not the sellers - it shouldn't be a crapshoot as to which color you will receive. I received a red base which is acceptable enough for me to keep, though my real choice would have been green.

Great cake keeper and it locks just fine. Just be careful, ordered a red one and received a green one.

Loved this for my cake~ easy off lid that locked and was good for travel and in the fridge. No worrying about storage or spills.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's sturdy, locks easily, and just perfect.

This fits a Bundt cake perfectly and locks securely allowing the cake to stay moist. The appearance of the cake within his holder is nice. I haven’t attempted to carry this but wouldn’t recommend it either as the handle doesn’t seem secure enough to carry the case my itself. You’ll need to hold the bottom as well. This doesn’t bother me as I have no intention to carry this outside the home, if I need to transport a cake, I usually get a cake box as they’re less than $2 locally.
