Roche Thomas Trombone Cleaning and Care Product (RT34)

I prefer this to Superslick, Trombotine, Pond's, Lemon Pledge, and Slide-o-mix (and none of the Yamaha stuff worked well for me at all). However, I've heard rumors that which one works best for you depends in part on your particular Trombone! In case it matters, I have a Conn 88HT that I got in 2004. But anyway, the trick with this one (and Superslick and Trombotine for that matter) is to barely apply anything, and then really rub it in -- till you can't see it -- and then work the slide -- and then spray with water! (and then work again). But anyway, applying too little is preferable, because before you apply the water, you can always add on more! It's tougher to take it off! But if you keep your slide clean using water and snakes, etc, and then have the slide all dried off -- and then only apply a little bit -- well, it works great!Important Note: Roche Thomas seems to not last quite as long for me as Superslick and Trombotine. But I clean my slide and re-apply every day, and I enjoy doing that (and it helps to do that no matter what brand you use!). And so, given the fact that I do that, the fact that it doesn't last quite as long just doesn't matter to me. Instead, I look purely at performance while it lasts, and man, this stuff gives me better performance than the rest of the competition. Hence the five stars! If I could give it five hundred stars, then I would!!!

I am NOT a trombone player, I bought this for my grandson. I found this selection to be of good value compared to the other ones Amazon offers, and my grandson is well pleased with the product's performance. Good enough for a 5 from me.
