Fun to use
was great for getting into the hobby, fun to learn on, a bit small for me tho so if you have bigger hand keep that in mind or if you don't have a lot of room as-well.

Great beginners stick
Great beginners stick, especially for the price. Button spacing is supposed to be like the $200+ sticks. So transitioning should be easy if you decide to drop money on an expensive stick. Mine had a few buttons that would stick. I had to open it up and break off some of the adhesive that was preventing two of my buttons to fully engage, otherwise I would have gave this a 4 star rating. It is very light. So if you play hard, like I did in the beginning, you may find some difficulty but this actually helped me with being more accurate and composed while playing. So in the long run, the lightness of the controller made me a better player.

Horrible just literally got it in the mail 5 mins ago. Plugged in and the square button is stuck. Plugged it in to my pc and I see that one button is activated always on. I have a Te2+ and love it, wish I could love this.

did not work out
I bought this to play the street fighter games for the PS4. It did not work out. I could not pull off the special moves with ease so that is why I returned it. It might be good to use if it is very still on a stand.

This product is great for those wanting to buy a fightstick that isn’t hundreds of dollars. I would recommend this to first timers/beginners who want to transition from playing on a controller to an arcade stick style of play. The buttons and the joystick(4corners) both move smoothly.

For $40 this isn't awful, but I'm sure there's better.
For $40 this isn't awful, but I'm kind of shocked at how the feel of Mad Catz's components has actually gotten worse over time. Mad Catz's budget sticks have a tendency to break easily and generally feel subpar compared to their Tournament Edition sticks in my experience, but the feel of the parts is actually a NOTICABLE step down from the original Standard Edition Street Fighter IV fightsticks they launched in 2009.The stick's resistance varies between direction, with the biggest difference being between down and up-right. Even novices will feel this if they are paying attention. It's easily the worst part of my unit. For the buttons, I actually enjoy the springyness of them, but they feel strangely loose. On Sanwa buttons, putting pressure on any part of the button causes the entire button to depress pretty much evenly all at once. This is not the case on the Alpha, where I can push one side of a button into the case on its own. This feels *really* awkward when I don't press exactly center on the button.Durability remains to be seen, but I can't help but think you can find a better stick elsewhere for not much more money. I'm out of the loop with newer budget sticks, but I still have my Hori Fighting Stick 3 and it blows this thing out of the water in terms of how the parts feel, and you can actually find that older stick online for around the same price.

Broken from the start.
Right outta the box the "O" button is defective (stuck). So much for quality assurance.
