Redoing the bathroom as I write this. Only 1 bath in the house so have to do the remodel in sections. I've been a contractor for nearly 30years. Recently installed a similar name brand fixture from a umbing supply house that cost $1500. This KES unit stands up to the name brand if not exceeds. 1st: I read the reviews and the complaints, saw that some of the fitting on the fixture may be smaller than typical fittings. What I did to make sure this didn't happen was I put pipe dope on first than a layer of teflon tape. 2nd: I read the directions. They are limited, but looking at the diagram they show exactly how all the measurements for the placement should be laid out and installed. 3rd: I pressure tested the valve first woth caps. Then I proceeded to pipe the fixtures then pressure tested each on at the rough in stage. Then, pressure tested the whole system before I closed in the walls. The unit looks really sharp, it's been in for a week. No water hammer issues as I've read about. I prob wouldnt put this in a 2nd bath on a 2nd floor for thay reason. Better safe than sorry there. However, I am extremely impressed by how the unit was packaged. The one downfall was that the male fittings are on on the fixtures and they will spin if you overnighter. Same thing as the valve, pipe dope, Teflon and hand tight. The box for the valve for rough in is a nice touch however if anything does go wrong with the valve there's no way to fix it from behind the tile and the box has to be ripped out. Really like the look, pressure, and feel of this set up.

Before installing I just want to make sure this is correctly manufactured - I would think the hole marked ‘up the mixed water’ should be more open to allow water to flow up to the shower no? - it looks partially blocked and that the hole wasn’t cut properly - help please. All the other holes are cut well I will happily review once it is installed! Edit: This is the message I received from the seller within days of asking: This was the new waterproof hammer device we added. It is normal so that it does not affect the water supply. Please rest assured. So far so good! It was a bit of a pain to install, but I don't think a shower system from anywhere else would be any less of a pain. We are not plumbers, so it was a bit of trial and error in terms of positioning, but a few YouTube videos of watching how others did it, and presto, it is finished and this product is beautiful! Our shower looks amazing and for a 1/3 of the price of going to a fancy bath specialty place. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone! Edit 2 years later: The knobby rubber thing was shooting water with incredible pressure through just that one hole - I thought maybe there was some buildup inside (sometimes our water is very hard) and I ended up accidentally pushing it back through the hole, where it is now and I won’t be able to get it back out. Is there any way you could send a few new rubber things to replace it by chance? Now water is forced through the big hole there and it is no longer pleasant to have a shower. Or can I replace the shower head and arm? Edit Feb 10/25: the O ring on the inside is broken and the head is leaking - how do I order a new O ring? Please and thank you

I absolutely love the rain shower and the tub spout to out my phone or drink on when I take a bath. Only thing I wish was different, are 2 features.. one that for some reason when changing which item to use, it goes cold first and then toxthe right temperature & two that if you use 2 items at the same time with the shower head, the pressure dies down a bit. But it is nice. I have the other one without the tub in my other bathroom as well, same brand, and the pressure change doesn't happen, so a bit strange and bummed out for this extra feature in the guest bathroom.

This BEAUTIFUL product holds water like a colander. I used the BEST pipe dope available on the market and this thing STILL created worm hole weeps (drips slower than 1 drip every 30 minutes) . Now, I will say that the worm hole weeps were VERY small but work hole weeps will ALWAYS get worse with time. There is no way I would feel comfortable putting this product in my own home as I would never know if it actually held water, I would just be paranoid. Even the shower head threads failed. I have no idea how so many threads can be made so poorly. Save your home, install a reputable brand. I spent $250 fitting, and refitting the main valve. This item looks great and SEEMS like a great deal, but unless you’re one of those people who is fine using ‘wetted’ solder threads I wouldn’t feel safe with this (I would never try that when the housing of the valve is plastic either!!!). I went out and bought a brand from a local hardware store, it may not look as trendy, but it’ll actually hold water.

Looks great out of the box but already breaking down with minimal use. Have had installed for 2 weeks, only used a handful of times and the faucet is rusted to the point it is turning the water brown when I turn it on. Visibly rusted on the outside and clearly it’s inside the faucet already too. The rusty has dripped into my brand new tub and stained it. Also, had to order twice because my first order the handle was missing. I contacted customer service who supposedly was going to send a new part and I was supposed to get an email with the order and tracking. Never happened, I ended up re ordered and returning the first one. Should’ve taken as a sign and found a higher quality product then. Now I have a stained tub I just spent a fortune on. Cheap products from a cheap company. Avoid avoid avoid!
