A very impressive cage. Currently we have two XL sized cages for our babies. For Syrians, please purchase this largest size. The included wheel is small, but could definitely be used temporarily. Would fit a nice nightangel or similar free standing wheel, but we used the included mount for a separately purchased silent spinner. There is a matching food bowl included, as well as free standing water dispenser (not sure of its quality, as we use a clear glass bowl for more natural drinking, but nice to have in a pinch.) The XL is spacious enough for a humane wheel, deep enough for bedding for burrowing, a hut, bath/litter box, toys, etc. Assembles in a few minutes, disassembles for easy cleaning, has both a top and side access, enables viewing from every angle, and most importantly for us, is bar free (aside from the top Hatch which isn't accessible to the hamster.) We've tried nearly every cage on the market over the years, including probably the best humane cage, the nightangel. However, that is wood and harder to clean, easier for our little guys to chew apart. This cage could even be connected to additional cages with separately sold tubes. I'm not sure why this cage isn't more well-known.

UPDATE! This cage did us well for a whole year! The cage was reliable. We are ordering a new one, only because our tiny critters ended up chewing the little nobs on the front door. It still holds them in the cage, but when I open the door, it falls out now. Highly recommend this cage for your tiny critters.Cage is large and spacious. Our furry critters love it. They love the wheel(not pictured, but was included and assembled after I snapped pics). Unfortunately, the corner was broken when it arrived(pictured). Appears it may have been dropped at some point. Hoping it holds up.

I received my cage with the top half broken… the sellers are sending me a replacement top, they were hard to reach and I’m not sure if they are really gonna send it but we will see. The cage is very hard to put together, and the side latches won’t even go on. The water bottle and wheel are too small.

A great cage but I had to remove a star because assembly was a pain in the ass and took longer than it should've largely due to there being no instructions aside from a few pictures plus a couple manufacturing issues. The biggest problems were getting the wire bodies and tubes connected to the cage itself. On the plus there are clear plastic hooks that help you keep the wire bodies together and the tubes themselves come apart in halves making them easier to clean. Another downside though was the water bottle that hangs too close to the floor and drips a bit. The wheels although they are silent, are also very small so if you have a syrian hamster i would recommend having a bigger one. I have a winter white and its just the right size for him. On the other hand the tubes are made for a syrian and my dwarf can't even climb up them.Just a word of caution for those with robos, very very small hamsters or escape artists, the bars are approximately a half inch apart. My winter white has tried to stick his head through but luckily he doesn't fit.One thing this cage has made me realize was that my hamster prefers to dig instead of climb and doesn't even use the second floor so I removed it to just be one floor. I like it much better because my hamster has access to his water so I don't have to worry about him dying of thirst. Also the water bottle is at the perfect hight now that the top is connected to the first floor and I can also view him from any angle now.I plan on attaching more cages but for a starter I like it, my hamster likes it and I would definitely recommend.

I purchased this on January 2, my hamster has not even been in it for a month and a half yet. The wheel has already broken, and the hamster has been scratching at all the corners and has put a huge indent in one corner of the habitat. It is about to break through! I have contacted the seller who gave me an option of buying replacement parts ( another wheel or the bottom of the cage) Why would I want to replace the wheel If the hamster is soon going to dig a hole in the habitat? I would not recommend this, it will not last and is dangerous to hamsters.

There are cuter cages and they're usually made out of wood or have wood. So before long, urine will soak it up and you never get the scent out. Or they have metal bars all around and look like a prison.This one is see through all around, has no bars and easy to clean.Also already comes with all the basic acessories which are suitable for a dwarf hamster. The water bottle did not leak at all. Actually at first i thought it could be clogged because i never saw hammy drinking but i guess he was just figuring it out since it might have been different than the one from the store.Cage also have 2 holes for connectingn with standard tubes so the hammy can go out and wander through the pipes and come back in the other side.My 13yo assembled it all by herself and she's normal smart but no Einstein.Hammy wasn't using the little house much in the beginning but after a while and especially after we added a fluff sock inside he loves sleeping in there now. Just make sure you cut the sock on the toes side so he doesn't get trapped in there :) You can add additional items too. we replaced the ramp with a wooden ramp and added a spinning plate that he absolutely loved to run and spin around.he also loves unsalted plain sunflower seeds and will eat and take bites right out of your hand after he gets used to it.

Bought this after getting my first hamster. It is a great cage and easy to clean. Unfortunately, I realized that hamsters need WAY more space than this cage offers. If you have small mice maybe this is good for them. But please not for hamsters.
