Works perfect and it adds reverse (backup) camera capability.
I installed this on a 2013 Dodge Challenger and it worked perfect. It wasn't as hard to install as I thought it would be. The trick is to get some molding removal tools and carefully start pealing the molding around the radio starting from the bottom, working your way to the top. There are a lot of wires that come with this unit so you have to be creative on how you tuck them away behind the radio. The Challenger had plenty of room to hide the wires and I mounted the Lockpick box below the radio using Velcro. Bonus, this unit has a Reverse Camera input. So, now your UConnect system will have reverse camera capability and it automatically activates it when you put the car in reverse! So, buy the Esky® EC180-19 backup camera and get the Esky® 2.4G Wireless Color Video Transmitter and Receiver, so you don't have to route wires throughout the car. Now you have a UConnect system that not only lets you operate your Navigation system, while the car is in motion, and let your passenger watch DVD's while the car is in motion, you will also have a Backup camera, in color, that works perfectly. Well worth the money and I wish I had installed this sooner.

Great concept that almost worked for me
I love the concept of unlocking my navigation system. Freedom In Motion as the company describes it. My unit was surprisingly easy to install. I hooked up a rear camera also found on Amazon for about $30 and it worked well with the MYGIG lockpick system. My only issue was during my test drive I noticed the left rear channel of my audio system no longer worked, it was completely silent. I tracked down the issue to the MYGIG Lockpick harness. I swapped the MYGIG unit in and out and discovered the harness as the culprit. Most likely the pins were not lining up correctly resulting in a loss of my channel. I have returned the unit BUT I will quickly purchase another once my refund processes. I am giving this 4 stars as I am eager to give it another try.

Not ready for prime time, Poor Technical Support & Contact Procedures
Not ready for prime time. This device lasted barely over a month before it's operations became erratic. Viewing video while in motion was hit or miss, putting the transmission in reverse used to display the rear camera and that became intermittent and occasionally would switch to the camera by itself. Support is near nonexistent - calling their support number goes to an "answering service" where your contact details are provided and you get to sit around the phone most of the day for a call that never occurs. E-mailing support doesn't provide much luck, they just tell you to call. I finally was able to reach someone and they pointed fingers and everything else but their product....bad camera, bad camera install, bad radio, bent pins on factory harness, bad harness from Jeep. They do not perform any warranty or RMAs (CoastalETech) - instead you have to contact your seller who has to act on your behalf to request a replacement. I have a friend who also has this device easily mounted in their glovebox via velcro. It was easy for me to determine my unit was bad. The case that supports the internals of the MyGig is very flimsy and the documentation is very generic and could be much better. When the device works, it works great...but when it fails don't count on support to be of any real help. I wouldn't recommend this device.

Does not work on the 2012 or 2013 jeep with manual trans
I bought this to put in my new jeep jk. Come to find out that it will not work with the new manual transmissions. The case of the product seems a little flimsy too. I wanted this to work due to the features it has are nice. To bad it wouldn't work for me.

Needs a redesign
I purchased this kit to install a front camera (BOYO VTL405HDL Multi-View License Plate Camera Chrome) and a rear camera (TaoTronics® TT-CC17 Waterproof Color CMOS Car License Plate Frame Mount Rear View Backup Camera) both available here from amazon. I was very impressed with the final results. This kit deserves five stars with all the functions it adds to your vehicle NAVIGATION screen. However due to a poorly designed, flimsy plastic housing, that contains CPU brain and printed circuit board it fails. Not only did my first unit require an exchange right out of the box due to a cracked board, but after installing the replacement I experienced another issue due to its poor design.First off there is no mounting bracket or mounting hole on this plastic case. Sure it is very light in weight and so it could just hang from the wiring harness. Maybe that is what others have done? But for me and my experience with the first CPU case not protecting the printing circuit board I suppose, I wanted to place this case somewhere in the vehicle not just hanging to protect it, and also not to rattle. I found a cubbyhole just behind the glove box that would work just fine.Well just a few days after installation both cameras started acting up. Upon investigating I was shocked to see that not only one but both of the control box switch settings had changed! Yes the switches protrude from the case and must have moved while driving! I reset all switches to their proper and original settings and fabricated covers to protect these switches and settings held on with electrical tape around the case and returned to that cubbyhole. It has now been over a month with no recurring issues or problems.
