I'm using these to stop one pole rotating within a second one. The pole is 23mm diameter.It does the job perfectly. The 'spring' in the clip is strong. It takes a good deal of force to push it through. Once it's on there's no way it's coming loose accidentally, and that's what is important.Very happy with these. They are doing what I envisaged perfectly.
