Walk A Little Slower: A Collection of Poems and Other Words

beautiful collection of poetry
A couple of years ago, I was walking through an incredibly difficult season of depression, and got a copy of Walk A Little Slower. So much of myself wanted to give up, I could not imagine ever getting better. As I read through this book I was met with pages of encouragement, and vulnerability, and hope. There were so many things that contributed to me coming out of that depression, but Tanner's writing and the hope it instilled in me, and the way it pointed me to Jesus was so helpful. Things are still hard sometimes, but I always find myself revisiting all of Tanner's books, and reminding myself that I've never seen a moose in the wild.

Interesting read
I brought this book with me, when I went camping. Truly gives you a different outlook on life, when you're surrounded by nature. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a different outlook on life

Beautiful!
Beautiful! I went through this book quickly since I was eager to read it, but I think I will have to go back and savor it one poem at a time, giving the thoughts time to sink in.Tanner's writing is genuine and relatable, provoking thought and planting hope in his readers.

Love this gifted and open writer! Excellent book! I have the Kindle version.
Look and listen to all that is said and even the things that are not said but felt...Open your eyes, ears and heart as this writer does so very well. His meaningful words can make a most profound impact on your heart too if you allow it!

I like Tanner Olson's poetry because it's user friendly
Tanner's poetry is accessible and easy to understand while also being deep and grounding. I flagged my favorite poems in Walk A Little Slower so that I can come back to them again and again!

Wasn’t as good as I thought it would be
I loved some of the poems but a lot of it felt very youth pastor and for very repetitive in some words. May hit home for some but just not for me

Balm for the Soul
Having had the privilege of hearing Tanner read his poetry in person, I “hear” his voice in these poems. Real, authentic. I’m in a period of life where I’m called to “be still” and this was a perfect read for that. I keep going back to this book and re-reading certain poems.
