Single Hue Cover for V2 Dimmer

Imagine my absolute delight at finding the face plate is compatible with the other Samotech wall-mounted hardware for Hue. I can now replace the 14 Hue Smart Buttons, with their terrible battery life, without having to refit 14 wall switches. Just slide out the old plate and replace with the new plate. What a great design and a bit of a no-brainer for Samotech as it avoids needing to retool things. The only downside is that the two-gang face plate is a little too big for the wall-mounted hardware, which they’ve tried to hide by adding a curve to the face-plate, but it isn’t quite perfect.

Easy to place over the existing light switch. Screws were included. Holds the dimmer switch fine and allows it to be removed. Colour matches the dimmer. Only slight criticism is that it's a bit clunky in design. I guess it has to be to allow it to fit over various switches.

This product is quick and easy to install and does not require expert knowledge. Simply remove the original screws holding the light switch cover in place and use the extended screws provided to install the light switch cover over the top of the original switch. Once installed, the magnetic place can be removed simply by sliding it down, providing quick and convenient access to the physical light switch when needed. Although the magnet is strong enough to hold the Philips Hue Switch in place, the Switch can be knocked off the holder fairly easily if you're not careful. Just something to be aware of. Other than that, this product does what it is designed to do and looks clean and elegant, and will go with almost any wall colour. I would recommend.

This fits over a standard UK lightswitch and was relatively easy to fit, though the plastic is a bit too flexible. Had to tighten and then loosen the screws a bit to make it fit. The Hue switch fits perfectly, but the magnet isn't very strong so it often drops off when pressed. I had to fit velcro to keep the Hue switch in place.

It is easy to fit this upside down and if you do, the magnet may struggle to hold the Hue switch in place. Correctly fitted, the switch cover slides up from the bottom. The recess in the cover will be at the top, so it aligns with the ridge on the back of the Hue switch. Apart from that slight quirk, which is easily solved, this is a great solution. Will be getting a few more for my other Hue switches. There is also a model to fit V1 Hue switches too.

So happy I bought this brand! I've been using covers from different amazon sellers but this one has definitely the best colour match with the dimmer and doesn't look as bulky as some others I've bought before. I installed with no provided spacers at first and the front plate was too loose, but after installing a couple of spacers the plate sits very tight. Very happy with my purchase and will definitely invest in more mounts by samotech!

Day one of installation already a game changer no longer we’re guests flicking the light switch. Down side it shows how not strait and different height my 2 living room switch’s are.

I have several switch cover plates for the old-style Hue switch and they have a strong magnetic attraction to the switch to keep it in place when pressing the buttons. While the overall design is good, unfortunately, the magnet is not strong enough. The Hue switch drops off from time to time when pressed. It's also quite easy to knock the edge of it with your fingers and it drops off. I won't be buying any more of these, I will need to find another make that has a stronger magnet to keep the switch firmly on the plate.

Riktigt smart och smidig sak. Aldrig haft problem med denna och passar perfekt till Philips Hue trådlösa dosa. Bygger inte onödigt mycket och även om luckan kanske är lite trög är det bara bra och hellre det än att den åker ner för lätt.

Einfache Installation durch Schrauben oder beidseitiges Klebeband (nicht inklusive). Hue Schalter hält dank Magnet genauso gut wie in der originalen Fassung.

La función de esta tapadera es bloquear el uso del interruptor tradicional, así te evitas encender y apagar la luz de forma manual, y puedes integrar fácilmente los interruptores Hue. Es fácil de instalar, aunque en modelos anteriores incluía cinta adhesiva de doble cara que ahora no incluye. Se puede anclar con tornillos, pero yo veo más recomendable la cinta adhesiva de doble cara. Por el precio, es la mejor opción.

Le seul caché interrupteur que j’ai trouvé qui fasse le job. Prix très correct mais installation pas évidente .. heureusement en cherchant on adapte son installation.
