Can you change the batteries? I tried replacing them and they don't work with standard AAA. Am I missing something?

They appear to be standard AAA batteries. Check to make sure they are installed correctly - flat end of the battery against the spring.

how is the quality about this product? is it resistant for fight?

It is very good quality- I have a five year old boy who hasn't put them down for the last week sice he got them. Not sure about fighting -they have a hard plastic outer "shell" that looks like it could crack with hard contact - but ours has not after several drops and accidental throws across the room. The are pretty solid separately and are easy to put together. It's worth the purchase so far!

Each is just over 28" long, when combined into the double blade configuration it is 57" long.

How bright are they? I am trying to do a college project with lightsaber effects and need a good glow for it!

I took videos and pics on my iPhone of my kids with the lightsabers in dark and some light and they look good.
