Can't beat it for the price--postpartum use.
I bought this when my much-more-expensive waist cincher proved too big after my third pregnancy. I couldn't find one in a smaller size, and wasn't inclined to spend another $50 or so, anyway. So I thought this was worth a try.PROS:-it can go very small. The whole thing is basically one big piece of (3-paneled) elastic, with a strip of "sticky" hook-and-loop closure at one end. So you can fasten that end anywhere on the entire rest of the binder, effectively making it VERY small (at the expense of having a long "tail" underneath. I'm normally an 8-10 and right now there is only about 5 or 6 inches of tail, which is very managable--the binder would fit much smaller women than me. I'll never get too skinny for this binder.-it's more bendy than a lot of cinchers; it doesn't have any boning to poke into you. It's comfortable enough to sleep in.-you can make it exactly as tight as you want it. Because you can attach it wherever you want, you can adjust it the way you see fit.-I'm not sure what it's made out of, but it breathes very well and is quite comfortable.CONS:-it's VERY hard to fasten tightly. I imagine a second person could help with this, but I'd like to be able to tug it a couple of inches tighter than I'm strong enough to do.-it's not nearly as supportive as a waist cincher from the lingerie section (or presumably one of those more expensive postpartum girdles)--it's not going to make you fix your posture, for instance, and it doesn't do as much to prevent my back from getting sore.-it definitely bunches up / flips over / creates rolls. It's JUST elastic, no boning or other support, so there's nothing to enable it to create a smoothing effect. For me, this is fine, but I definitely wouldn't want to wear it to look slimmer in a form-fitting dress.-9" may be a little short. I'm 5'7" and this would work better for me if it was about two inches taller. But it's adequate.-the fastening strip massively picks the rest of the elastic, which makes it instantly and irreversibly look tacky. Not that you're going to go out in public with it showing, anyway, but still.So. Does it do the job of compression postpartum? Yes. And it does it very cheaply. I'd buy it again. If money were no object, I do think a firmer support that's easier to fasten more tightly (hook-and-eyes, for instance) has an edge, but this works well enough at a much more sensible price.I'd point new mommies in the direction of this product.

pretty comfortable, looks a little weird
I really like this binder. I've bought two of them and recommended them to others. It is not perfect but it is worth it for the price.PROS- It is comfortable enough to wear all day. I even wore it while sleeping because I wanted the extra support. I didn't want something that would hurt after a while and this one never did.- It's durable enough to get washed many times and doesn't tear and velcro stayed good.- It breathes pretty well.- It is a good size. I ordered a small - I was about a size 8/10 before pregnancy and average height. The small had enough room that it would work for a larger woman and tightens enough to work for a smaller woman. The band started just below my bra line and stopped a few inches below my belly button, about halfway down my hips. It really supported my mid-area and didn't let my tummy squish out the bottom.CONS- It can be itchy and pinch a little when you're sitting upright if you have it really tight.- Its hard to fasten very tight by yourself. I could fasten it by myself but if I wanted it really tight, I had to have my husband help me. If you want something super tight, buy something else.- It looks kind of weird under clothes if you wear something tight or clingy. I wore it during maternity leave so it didn't matter how it looked.

It did the job it was supposed to
I bought this to use after recovering from my c-section. It was too small for me to use right away, but once my belly went down, I began using it. It is pretty tight, but I was able to wear it for several hours during the day. It is bulky, so you shouldn't expect to wear it under your clothes out in public (I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for this). After wearing it a few hours a day for about six weeks after my surgery, I think it helped my abdominal muscles come back together a little tighter, making my gap between the muscles smaller (diastasis recti) so I could begin doing ab work sooner. That thick layer of fat on top of the muscle....ha! No binder's gonna fix that though!

Good for the price.
A decent product for the price. I just had twins and wanted to immediately begin holding everything together. When it arrived the material was already roughed up from the velcro but it does wrap as tightly as needed. Definitely need someone to help you put it on or nothing will lay flat. Also rides up a bit the tighter you wear it but it doesn't rip off easily or loosen when you bend and move. Not the most comfortable for breastfeeding but what binder would be? Would buy again for price and that it goes as tight as you want it. Bad thing is the material is easily messed up by the velcro so it isn't "pretty".

Good binder, decent quality.
Used this after my c-section. Really helped tighten things up and suck back in. If you wear it for 6 weeks, night and day, it will eventually wear a little, but did what I needed it to. Will definitely be using again, a new one, but same product. Love how you can adjust the size to as tight as you want. Love the three panels. Not great for wearing under light or think clothing, but for heavier loser fitting clothes, no one will know. And hey, I didn't expect to be wearing sexy tight fitting clothes right after a major abdominal surgery anyway, lol.

BEST value: more comfortable, great for phase 2
This Alphabrace is perfect for phase 2 after having a baby. I call the first 40 days postpartum phase 1. It's when you need the MOST compression. (For that I recommend the ItaMed). After 4 weeks you'll need something that gives good compression AND is flexible and comfortable enough to wear under clothes. This belly binder is great! You can wear it when you leave the house and it is much less bulky than others. The price is unbeatable too.

Serves the purpose
I have read all reviews of this item before buying, and I din't regret my purchase. For the price, it does the job well. # panel gives you freedom to adjust almost on all 3 levels. It does wear too soon due to the material and velcro but I think it will last long enough to make the price really right. Others sell for 2x even 4x the price of this one.
