I liked this scoop so much that I eventually purchased all of the available sizes. I cook and bake frequently, and the different capacities make it much easier to create consistent portions. I use the smaller scoops for cookies and meatballs and the larger ones for batter and other foods that I want measured evenly. The #8 scoop holds a generous half-cup portion, so shoppers should check the capacity carefully rather than assuming it is a standard cookie scoop. The trigger release makes portioning quicker and less messy, and the different handle colors help me identify the size I need. This has become one of my most frequently used types of kitchen tool.

I make muffins weekly and this helps me to bake faster. Large enough scoop to make extra large muffins.

Bought 3 of these - work well and easy to clean

It's probably better for mash potatoes, but using this on something more dense like ice cream will quickly result in the ring part of the scooper breaking. I also found that this product rusted at the hinges when I did. I wouldn't buy this product again nor would I recommend it; it's not made to last.

Mechanical works well and I love the size for using to serve mashed potatoes or rice. Washes up nicely in the dishwasher or by hand.

False description and wasted my money. This scoop actually measures only 1/4 cup (4 tbsp), not the described 5.5 tbsp (1/3 cup scoop). This utensil was nearly $21 so to be falsely advertised like this with no convenient way to return the item or get your money back, is really, really bad.
