I had several issues with my Passat B6 in regards to the handbrake. It's a common issue to get errors in the dashboard and eventually get a stuck handbrake.My handbrake got stuck completely at some point (lucky for me it was right in front of the garage, while I was fixing something else). I changed my electric rear calipers since one of them were seized then. The error kept appearing, but disappearing when pressing the button.Two weeks ago I had some chills when the calipers got stuck again, but it managed to unrelease themselves eventually. After this I ordered from Ebay a switch which was working, but always had an error in the dashboard.I've ordered this one instead and I think it's a winner. No more errors at all in the past week or so!

This works. I was a bit worried it would not work as it is quite cheap. I got it for 12.59 so it’s a really cheap price. There’s a YouTube video that shows how to change and it’s very easy to do once you get the clips out from old handbrake button.

After buying a few other ones of these was a bit dubious but took the chance and wasn't disappointed works better than original

Had an issue with my old switch that wouldn't illuminate properly when pressed so came up as a fault. Changed switch in 5 minutes and all working perfect again.

Cheaper than the Volkswagen switch , and just as good
