## Description

Laser Module VLM-635-27 LPT-10 Red Laser Line Generator (INDUSTRIAL USE LINE LASER) - desertcart.com

Review: Buy from Quarton USA. - I purchased two of these from Quarton USA. I purchased a third unit from AixiZ. The units from Quarton USA were as described in the spec sheets and performed very well. The laser line was bright, uniform and narrow (3mm) at thirty feet. The unit came prefocused, sealed with an epoxy filler in a brass outer case. This makes it shock resistant, waterproof and usable in harsh environments. The quartz cylindrical line lens creates a sharp line without the interference pattern that is typical of wavy lenses. The unit is expensive but I think it's worth the money for my uses. It's definitely a scientific/industrial caliber product. The module from AixiZ was so different from the item description that it was unrecognizable. It was nickel plated, focusable and incorporated a cheap plastic wavy lens. The line had strong interference patterns and it was impossible to focus sharply. The line would shift position with the slightest tap. The laser was about 1/3 the brightness of the genuine Quarton unit. The wires came out the back through an open hole and there was no epoxy filling. It was similar to the units available on ebay for $2. When I requested a refund they complied immediately and told me to keep the unit. That told me a lot about how much they thought it was worth. I highly recommend the Quarton USA version but do not recommend buying from AixiZ.
Review: Professional, sharp, perfect straightness - When I received this laser module, my first impression is it appears very professional. It was packed in an anti-static bag with a laser safety sticker. The green laser line is very sharp at 5 yards, even can be seen outdoor. And, the laser line is perfect straightness. It was made from a direct green laser diode, not DPPS green laser, I was surprised it even worked below zero degrees without any problem. I used it as a guideline indoor open space without any air conditioner and it works fine all the time.

## Features

- Designed and manufactured in Taiwan, ensuring high quality and long-lasting performance. High accuracy Red Straight Line Laser, for Industrial high-precision leveling, alignment, adjusting, positioning, measuring and targeting device.
- Wave length: 635nm. Laser power output : Class I. (Update 03/19/2021 - The laser output (the brightness) is exactly the same as before. The reason why the Laser Class is changed now is that, according to the latest IEC 60825-1 regulations, the output is measured by 7mm aperature stop at the position of 10cm. Therefore, you see that its Class is changed from "Class II" to "Class I" now, even though the brightness is exactly the same as before.)
- Red Line laser. The best line-accuracy and the widest emitting angle line laser module for use with high-precision devices. 2.6~6 VDC operation. Dimensions: D12.5 x 30 mm.
- This module has integrated quartz cylindrical lens, collimating lens, laser diode, and APC driver circuit. APC driver circuit enables constant Laser output power.
- Includes patented solid brass structure for the best shock resistance and better heat transfer consideration. Aspherical Plastic Lens and Quartz Cylindrical Lens provides Line Laser. Laser line accuracy: 40" (+/- 1mm @5m). Emitting angle: > 90°. Laser line accuracy: 40" (+/- 1mm @5m). Emitting angle: > 90°
- Notice: Our laser modules are NOT laser pens and are NOT intended for general commercial or consumer use like standard laser pointer. They feature NO built-in switch or battery compartment and must be operated with an external power supply or battery holder.

### ⭐⭐⭐ LPA version - precise line, not as bright as I wanted
*by D***Y on October 18, 2022*

The headline says it all. If you use it indoors, it's fine. But I wanted it to be much brighter. If you purchase the recommended "farhop" aluminum mount, you'll have to bore out the mount to 1/2". Aluminum is soft, and it's easy to size up the mount to fit the laser. In the pics, you'll see I attached it to a secure piece of wood to make it easier to hold the mount steady.
