Difficult Product to Find
This little specialized connector is absolutely priceless in situations where you must connect to an existing water line which cannot be turned off. I used it to connect to the pressurized service supply line prior to it's connection to the currently locked water meter. After attaching the appropriate ball valve directly to it I was able to tap the water line and reconnect it to the line on the other side of the meter.

Works
Does not grip as well as I would like. Comes off easily if structure is moved which in my case I do need to move it since it is an outside structure use for the chickens to graze without being hawked. I would purchase again but would rather use the DURA brand than the spear in this size. Bigger size is better.

Seemed like a good idea
I needed to T off an existing underground 1 1/4" line from my water well. This leaked after installation--I had to cut it out and do something different. My well pressure is max 60 lb.

The best way tap into an existing supply line!
The best way I have found to tap into an existing water source without using much more labor intensive and costlier methods. To have made this connection without this saddle connection, I would have had to excavate several feet of soil on each side of this intended connection just to cut the pipe and then make the connection. I have used this saddle connection method several times, it's relatively easy, it's secure, and it works!

Easy install
This worked amazing! Was quick and easy to install. Used on a basement remodel to add a vent line.

Great product.
Used these to make a cross brace for some dog cots I got for camping. They along with some pvc help hold the cots open so the dogs don't collapse them constantly.

Saved me a lot of time compared to other methods of tapping into underground plumbing.
Used to tap into existing water line that runs to home. Sanded 25 year underground pipe, used PVC cleaner and primer. Applied copious amounts of PVC glue. Used back of shovel as leverage to compress over pipe. Let cement and installation dry 2 days before drilling out fitting.Worked great! No leaks on 70 psi system.
