I just received the mat yesterday once I opened the Amazon Box I was overwhelmed with a strong chemical smell. I unrolled the mat and discovered the measurements are not accurate either. Using a measuring tape I discovered it is not 16 inches in width nor 39 inches long. The mat chemical odor actually permeated through my house. I see this seems to be common with a lot of the mats sold on Amazon. Very disappointed and I will be shipping this back today for a refund.

It stinks. Even after 12 days and everything I could think of. It still stinks just as bad as the day I got it. I've put it through the washer on soak. I scrubbed it with laundry soap. I let it air out for 7 days. After that I let it soak for 24 hrs in some fabuloso. Let it air dry. It still stinks. It smells like a mix of devil fart, manure and chemicals. Burns my nose even being feet away from it. Had it in my bathroom for a few hrs cause I thought the soak helped. Once it dried it stunk up my whole bathroom. How can it be so bad. I am going to try and return this. The product worked fine for the two showers I managed to take with it, the smell is not ok.

Horrible! Not only did I find it cut open at my door step by thieves, they actually left the worthless product for me instead of stealing it... Buuut, let me stop being petty for a moment and give an honest review on the product. This bathmat doesn’t begin to try and stick down to my tub, many of the suction cups are rolled into themselves (preventing them from ever being able to creating a suction) and the short amount of time I stood on it (to attempt to get it to stick after pressing with my hands wasn’t working) it was rather uncomfortable/ hard plastic feeling, instead of the showermat texture I was expecting. All in all I wouldn’t recommend.

This mat is just as described, which is great. I was really busy over the holidays and didn't get the time to clean under the mat for a while. When I finally got to it, I was terrified at what I would find growing under it. But there was nothing! No mould! It's been a few months now, and every time I take the mat off to scrub the tub there's still nothing yucky under it. I bought 2 more for later, but now I don't know if I'll ever get to use them because the first one still looks brand new.

This is my second time ordering these slipcovers. They worked so well that first time I ordered a couple of additional ones for our large walk in shower. They performed well except for the very strong plastic odor that lingered for a couple of weeks. Finally I put these in the washing machine on the longest hand wash cycle with detergent, vinegar and fabric softener TWICE. Then I let them air-dry out in the garage. Odor is finally gone and the mats are working perfectly like the original set I bought. They are really long and comfortable to use and easy to clean. Plus color adds some pizazz to boring shower. Rated these a 4 star due to odor that was finally able to get out.

Poor quality control. It did not last very long.The first product I received had a defect, an uneven bump, that made it really uncomfortable to stand on in the shower. I asked for a replacement, which Amazon provided without difficulty. The replacement had a long slit defect, a couple inches in length. Given that I had already returned the first one, I decided to just keep the one with the slit defect. I have now had the product for about a year, and the bumps where the suction cups are, are tearing through on top (in multiple places). I have had many of these type of mats over the years, and this one has had the shortest longevity. Also, as stated above, both of the mats that I received had some sort of unintended defects.

My previous bath mat was shorter and after five years had lost its grip. I should have found out how long my old one was but this 35" job was almost as long as my tub. I would try to put it on upside down but after flipping it over I had no trouble adhering it to my smooth-finish bathtub. I only installed it a day ago and had a 30-minute soak in my tub with some Epsom salts and felt how cushiony the new mat was. I then took a shower this morning and took to it as a duck takes to water. I do wish it were a bit wider but I felt much more secure on it. I chose aqua because the design on my shower curtain is of a coral reef with ocean water and fish so it blends in very nicely. I am surprised to get such a good-quality mat at such a low price and am very pleased with my purchase.

It's a great product that does its job and runs most of the tub. However, I've had for a little over a year and a half and am considering replacing it because the first half of it is turning from blue to pink and the other half is becoming super stiff and isn't sticking as well. I clean it with Ajax/comet once a week and let it air dry, making sure to get soap scum out from around the suckers (which are recessed and difficult to clean).

Acheté pour sécuriser les pas de mon enfant dans le bain qui est très actif, je suis satisfait de ce tapis de bain qui présente selon moi, un avantage majeur :✔️✔️ la sécurité qu'il offre : ce tapis tient bien dans le fond du bain, est suffisamment long pour couvrir la quasi totalité du bain. Mon enfant peut se tenir debout dans le bain sans risquer une chute car le tapis apporte une stabilité conséquente.✔️✔️ Concernant l'odeur du tapis fort présente au départ ( odeur du plastique), elle disparaît au fil des jours pour au final disparaître.⚠️ Je conseille de bien faire sécher le tapis après chaque utilisation.Conclusion : ce tapis est d'une bonne qualité offrant une sécurité a mon enfant dans le bain.En espérant que mon avis vous soit utile, si besoin n'hésitez pas 😉

Hi Guys.I bought 1 of these (Red) not long after moving into my current accommodation, as the 1 here was mank!!I've bought this 1 (Blue) so that I can have 1 in the wash, while the other is in the bath, so I can wash it when it fits in with me & not when it fits in with everyone else not needing the shower, as we all work different hours.Machine washable, I put it in with the shower curtain and a few towels, washed on a 40'c synthetics wash & limited the spin to 400, due to its weight. I also didn't use conditioner, might experiment with that maybe lol. At the end of the wash, I took the shower mat out & set the rest on a normal spin cycle.It seems to have survived, no signs of fatigue, but only time will tell how resilient this is after multiple wash cycles.It's quite sturdy, as opposed to flimsy thin stuff, so I'm not expecting it to tear in half when I'm pulling up allll the suckers from the bath next time.I've had the red one 6 months now, looks just as good as when I fitted it :-)Would definitely recommend - as part of making life (Cleaning) easier!

After one week of use I took it out to find that it had stained my tub. The suction cups and the edges left blue marks. They came out with a lot of chemicals and scrubbing but they mat is going right in the garbage. I absolutely do not recommend this product.

Have had to return this as we couldn't stand the smell....!!!We have had several of these but have always had white before. Saw this in black and decided to get one.....when I opened the packet there was a REALLY strong smell of rubber so I hung it in the garage to air for a few days. When I brought it back indoors it smelled exactly the same, so I soaked it for 48 hours. Still the same. We cannot cope with the smell, we live in a bungalow and it has ponged the whole house out, it smells like a tyre shop.....so it has had to go....!! Whilst it was soaking in the bath, it also left black scuff marks on the bottom of the bath like black soled shoes would.Cannot understand why people are leaving 5* reviews for this...they must have no sense of smell...!!

Absolutely stinks with a pungent chemical plastic smell. It’s so bad, we’ve had it a few days and the whole upstairs of the house stinks. My 4-year-old even said why does the house smell like beer! Returned for a refund. I actually worry that something smelling so strongly of chemicals is not safe grade plastic for my kids to be bathing in.
