Read This If: A Collection of Essays that Prove Someone Else Gets it, Too Review: I'm 68 and I Carry a Copy in My Purse - This is an amazing book. You can turn to any page and feel comforted or beautiful or just understood. I want to buy copies for all of my girlfriends, and we're all in our sixties and seventies -- but we still relate -- we're still kids at heart (and soul). Even if all you want is to smile -- especially if you think the last thing you can do in the world right now is smile -- read the first chapter. Honestly, there is something in here for every girl (and yes, just because I'm old doesn't mean I'm not a girl), and I swear that no matter where you are in your head, heart, and life, you'll be in a better place for reading this book. Every woman should read this. When the sun comes up I'm calling my forty-nine year old daughter and telling her to buy a copy. Review: LOVED this! - Book Review: “Read This If” by a multitude of different authors within @thoughtcatalog. • I’m not sure where I initially discovered this book, but I am so happy that it found it’s way into my desertcart cart and then into my heart. This book features 38 different short essays ranging in a variety of topics including: - “Read This If It Feels Like Your Depression Is Getting The Best Of You” - “Read This If You Thought You Would Be Further Along In Life By Now” - “Read This If You’re 25 And Have Nothing To Show For It” - “Read This If You Feel Like You’re Unworthy Of Being Loved” • There were so many parts of this book that I thought to myself, “thank god I’m not the only one and that someone else understands how I’m feeling”. It takes difficult topics and shows that you aren’t the only one struggling, even though it sometimes feels like no one notices. • Here are a few of my favorite quotes: 1. “There are a thousand minute intricacies that make up the tapestry of who you are and not a single one has ceased to exist since the last time that somebody loved you”. 2. “For all the times I’ve wanted to die, I think about kissing new mouths or falling in love with someone and growing old. It would be an honor to gain wrinkles with someone. I want to age alongside someone and watch our bodies change together”. 3. “Relationships with expiration dates teach us that love doesn’t have to last forever to be meaningful. That someone doesn’t have to stick around to make an impact. That the best things in life are not always measured by their longevity but their intensity. Their complexity. By their patience and wisdom and by every way our lives change as a result of them”. • If you want an fast-paced, easy, and inspiring book to read, I highly recommend this for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Star Rating.

Great book with plenty of gems
I purchased this a while ago when experiencing a rough patch in my life. This is a book that I purchased in order to read occasionally, whenever I was feeling particularly down and drawn to it. Most of the essays in the collection made me feel much better. A close friend of mine is getting divorced. She finally decided, after years or struggling to improve her marriage. I purchased this book (and another) for her, in hopes that it would help her feel better as it helped me. She's very happy with the essays that she's read so far.

It’s okay. Kind of repetitive
Has a lot of typos, the editing isn’t great. The information/advice in it is fine. But having titles like “read if you’re 23/25” etc make it not relatable for other ages. After you read the first few, they all become kind of the same and have the same advice. Would recommend “101 Essays that will change the way you think” over this book.

Okay but kinda cheesy
There were a few relatable, well written essays that I very much enjoyed. Others seemed like an article from Teen Beat or Teen Vougue, very middle school sounding. 3 stars because it had a few essays I did enjoy.

Check it out
So I bought this book on a whim. Not sure what to expect but curious. This book is a must read, the chapters/ essays were so relevant to my life and reminded me that I'm not alone: that we all feel these things and that while we are going through what ever it is that we are going through how easy it is to forget that.
