Works nicely just handle with care
This product came much faster than promised and well packaged. Nothing was missing or damaged and the plastic case it comes with is perfect for keeping everything together in one place. I read all the reviews and the directions accompanying the product before using and paid particularly close attention to some of the problems others experienced. One particular problem concerning stripping and breaking off the screw on the bore accessory was remedied using the advice from a previous review instructing to work the screw in gently continually checking the fit and tightening the screw a small amount until it fits. I followed the directions and sufficiently lubricated the bore accessory as well as the base of the laser where it comes in contact with the barrel before insertion. You can use a gun lube or vaseline for this but don’t forget to properly clean and remove the remaining lubricant from the barrel after removal as to not leave any obstruction to bullet passage. You must take into consideration the laser is delicately constructed and the accessories are plastic therefore you must work cautiously when tightening the screw to attach them and when pushing the assembly into the bore. When finished with the sighting procedure use a cleaning rod to assist with the removal of the laser by entering from the breach (rear) end of the barrel (if possible) pushing it as you gently pull the laser from the front. If you take the proper time and care using this device you shouldn’t have any problems. My first use was on a .22 cal rifle that I recently installed a scope on and the process was effectively completed in no time. Since I had the accessory already attached I went ahead and checked a 22 rifle that I hadn’t used in quite awhile that already had a scope installed. The laser confirmed the scope to still hold its zero. I look forward to continued use of this laser in the future. I believe this is an excellent product and affordably priced.

Great product and even better customer service!
Ordered this bore sighter for my .177 pellet gun. I installed a battery and screwed on the adapter for my barrel size. It's a nice tight fit with minimal play. It won't get you dead on but it will tell you where your rounds are hitting so you can correct. Worked great. Regarding their customer service, I initially thought my kit was missing the .177 adapter. So I asked the seller if he could send one and I sent him a pic of the adapters I had. I ended up finding the missing one but he was prepared to send a whole new bag of adapters. In fact he noticed I had a couple chewed up ones in my pic(my fault) and he said he had a couple kits that were not able to be sold and asked if I wanted them. I said yes and he shipped them out as promised. Not just the adapters mind you. Complete kits. I can only speak to this transaction but this seller appears to genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Amazon seems to specialize in crap products being sold by sellers who don't give a crap once the sale is made. The exception is if you specifically search for a particular brand. This seller and product is also exceptional.

Very useful tool and great customer care.
The unit is well presented. Has everything you need to sight in your optics. Pretty much covers all your calibers from .22 to 12 gauge. I love how it comes in a nice case to keep it all organized. One of my adapters was missing. It was one that I needed the most. After contacting the vendor they promptly took care of me and sent me not one but two whole sets of adapters. I really appreciated that! i highly recommend this!

Reasonably fit for pistol red dot zeroing
3 1/2 stars is what I really want to give, but since I can't give half stars I'm uprating them a little to 4 stars.I thought I'd give this a try to see how much it would help to zero in my new open reticle red dot (Holosun HS507C-X2 on a PPQ Q5 Match). Shipment was fast, so no complaints from a delivery perspective. Item arrived exactly as advertised, with all components described. For the 9mm bore I used the #6 attachment - #7 was too tight, and it coincides with the caliber to number table in the product owner's manual that suggested a #6 attachment. With the #6 it's not exactly a perfect fit - there's a fraction of play until you insert the tube completely into the barrel - since mine is a 5" barrel, that's not an issue at all, it inserts all the way. For a 3.5" barrel, you may not be so fortunate.Prior to use, I rolled the boresight on a table to see how true it was or wasn't. Frankly, that's a useless exercise - there are knurls on the edge of the boresight's tube, and the tube is somewhat tapered, which will make for a completely inaccurate representation of whether it sights true or not. After insertion into the barrel, and while holding the gun secure, I rotated it in the barrel. Turns out it was pretty darned straight, a fact that simply rolling on a table could not point out. Now, as to utility of using the boresight, well, I've got some mixed feelings there (not all related to the boresight and probably more related to red dot sights and boreline parallax, but I digress a little). The red dot sight comes from the factory roughly set for 25 yards. Personally, I'm not yet accurate enough to be able to be effective at a 75 foot range, so I used it for an initial zero at around 35 feet. The first set of shots fired after that were perhaps 1 to 1 1/2 inches off, and thereafter it took me maybe 2 more groups of 3 shots to zero it in.I then tried zeroing it in at 75 feet/25 yards. Once again I used the boresight initially. The immediate issue I had there was that the boresight laser is red, and my red dot is, well, umm, *red*. At 30-35 feet it's hard enough to distinguish the sight's reticle from the boresight's laser, rendering it ineffective. At 75 feet, for my 51-year-old eyes, it's basically impossible. What would have been wonderful would be to have a different color laser than the reticle - so, if you have a green dot reticle, this would be great. If you have a red dot reticle, try find a green-colored laser boresight. For those that care about my red dot impressions - I failed to understand just how much boreline parallax can affect the POI vs POA at different distances. I also failed to properly understand the ballistic trajectory and how that also affects POI at different distances, but that is seemingly much less of an issue at short pistol distances than it is at longer rifle distances. Yes, I'm pretty much a beginner at this whole thing, but I generally research things to death so that I can understand them before implementing them, so to speak. Naively, I didn't think that it would be any different from sighting iron sights that are much closer to the boresight axis, and that's where my understanding failed me. I had been using a center hold for all distances with iron sights and achieved reasonable success for my level of proficiency. Once I had successfully zeroed the sight in at 75 feet, I brought the target in to 20 feet and used a center hold to shoot, and of course the shots were all terribly low. At the time I had no idea why, so I wound up wasting a ton of time and cartridges troubleshooting, when I should have stopped, gone home and researched why that was the case. Naturally I now understand it, and tomorrow I'll go back and re-zero the sight to a distance more appropriate for what I want to achieve.Yes, the last paragraph is completely unrelated to the boresight itself, but I think it may be of general interest to the audience because I suspect a number of people will not necessarily think this through when purchasing a boresight for use with zeroing a red dot.
