Altec Lansing IMW478s Mini LifeJacket 3 Bluetooth Speaker (Royal Blue)

This review is after having TWO Altec Lifejacket speakers. The first one I bought here off Amazon only to use it for a very short time and the speaker on it started crackling and then sounded fuzzy - in short, the speaker blew out. Called Altec, they told me even though I literally had just bought it online (and could show proof) the model number on the bottom was an older model so nope. They won't help or cover anything. So it got returned to Amazon (thanks Amazon for continually being awesome!) .. my mom bought me another Lifejacket as a present about a year and a half ago. Today it just stopped working. Won't hold a charge, won't turn on. Called tech support, they said to take it to a "local technician" as there's nothing they can or will do about it since it's over 1 year old. Seriously?? It's been indoor use it's entire life, never been wet, never dropped. Stops working. After this being the second one, I can guarantee you I'll never buy from this company again. I'm giving it two stars because when it did work, it was great to have a bluetooth, portable speaker that easily fits in my bag that I can bring to work with me, or bring into any room of the house. But seriously, don't waste your money on this company. They WILL disappoint you.
