Even better than I expected!
I was very pleasantly surprised by how sturdy this kit was! Easy to assemble. It took me about an hour. I am adding some of my own extras to make it look more posh. I used a wood stain pen to stain the bow and shield. In lieu of the stars and gems, I am mounting miniature swords! I can’t wait to give it to my hubby for Christmas!! Will add photos when swords arrive :)

A few issues
This has been a fun little project except that one of the tiny hinges that came with it was broken, so there is only half a hinge. This means the door at the top that you open to turn on the lights can’t be put on. I don’t happen to just have extra tiny hinges lying around & they aren’t exactly standard. You can’t just buy one hinge online either. You have to buy a box for a minimum of $7. That’s making this project even pricier! My second issue is the mirror. I installed it as directed, all the way to one wall but it is cut wrong & is too wide. That makes it so that the other wall cannot be installed as it can’t fit into the slats with the mirror blocking it. I tried scoring the mirror to cut the excess off but I’m just going to break the whole thing trying to fix it. :-( As is, I cannot finish the project & it isn’t very attractive.I will write to the company & see if they will issue a refund or a new product & update my review then.Photos attached show that the mirror is installed correctly but that it overhangs on the other side & the broken hinge.

check the condition of the large wood pieces to be sure they are not warped.
I started to build it and the first piece is the main board or floor base that all the sides connect to and some things inside must align with. Well the main piece the floor is warped so when trying to get the 3 walls to connect to it the warp caused gaps and would not align correctly. Too bad because I really like this one and most of it is fun to build but I had the unfortunate case of get it with a warped main wood part. I tried to force it together but it was not easy. Get very strong glue and used clamps and finally was able to get it to stay together. I don't think it will last though. Starting to come apart where walls meet the floor that is warped. Wish I could get the makers to give me new one but I think little hope of that. I will contact them anyway and try. I think this Eternal Bookstore Book Nook is a great one if it is not warped you will have fun. Peace.

Cool book nook with easy to follow instructions
I thoroughly enjoyed putting this kit together. As other reviewers have pointed out, I had to do a little trimming to make the mirror fit properly and the wiring was a little tricky, but I was able to assemble it without much difficulty. It took me about two weeks of working on it a few hours at a time. If I had it to do over, I would invest in a better glue dispenser. I used gorilla glue and it was quite messy. Otherwise, it was overall a fun project and I was thrilled to have a light up book nook for my library.
