Fit and forget. You need a pair of these (that is one two pack) for a point to point connection. You may also need suitable adpaters, depending on your TV cable wiring. Mine came with USA standard mains plugs so I needed to buy a pair of shaver adapters. The power units work o.k. on 230v UK mains and barely get warm when in use.I purchased these Ethernet over cable adapters to allow me to use a redundant TV cable, rather than installing CAT 5/6 cabling. I didn't attempt to share the cable with a TV.The adapters worked straight out of the box and established a connection within a minute or so.Note that they do introduce a small delay.

As expensive as these kits usually are,one would expect co-ax and network cables included. They are not
