Why did you pick this product vs others?: Beautiful glasses. YET… they broke literally on the first night. I have superglued them and i am hoping the glue will hold, but its unacceptable that glasses which sell for three to four times the amount of my other reading glasses (also bought, repeatedly, on amazon, for A DECADE now) broke right away. The usual stylish reading glasses i buy here from different makers last YEARS. They can take a beating, and they are arguably just as cute. Ive only ever needed to replace them when i needed a stronger magnification. I was going to buy the brown tortoiseshell frames too, but i certainly wont now. Extremely bummed about this purchase, and i cannot recommend.

Bottom line: Recommended if you have the face shape and/or confidence to pull a look off. Pros: Good magnification, fewer blur issues than most, sturdy quality frames, expensive looking frames of good quality, good lenses that don’t warp -Cons: no anti-glare coating, metal earpiece tips catch on my hair and can’t be smoothed or refitted - These are large glasses with a larger-than-life style. There’s a razor thin margin between bold and stylish and owlishly odd. I have an longish (not Sarah Jessica Parker or Abe Lincoln, but longer than it is wide) face shape with, what I previously understood to be unremarkable features. However, these glasses have a Clark Kent effect and I’m transformed from a fairly well-preserved 40-something woman with slightly close-set eyes into a try-hard cross-eyed supervillain. They’re the best readers I’ve found. I wish I could wear them in public. Darn, it Oprah! I trusted your recommendations.

Disappointing arrival. This Peepers model is my favorite, and the previous pair lasted a looooooong time. When my lens strength became available again, I ordered. Timing, packaging - all what I'd expect from Peepers. The quality of the glasses waa noticeably different, however. The frames felt like the cheap readers. The acrylic/plastic was lighter weight, felt less durable, and didn't possess the same high-end finish. To top it off, the temples were wobbly, and not in the way that could be adjusted by the screws. The hinges not functioning properly interfered with the gentle tension in spring hinges that keeps the glasses from sliding. They would not stay on my face. Hoping it's a lemon, I've requested a replacement pair of the same style and strength. If this is what Peepers is doing now, as opposed to my favorable experiences over the last 12 years, then I ask myself why pay the premium price if it's now the same quality product as the more 'cost-effective options... Hope I remember to update this feedback...
