Pocket Genius: Sharks: Facts at Your Fingertips

This was a gift for my shark obsessed birthday girl. It is a bit advanced but she enjoyed it thoroughly. It has lots of facts, pictures and detail. Future marine biologists would love this.

Bought this for my stepson who loves sharks. Did not originally realize that it was a tiny book. But my stepson loved it and it is easy for him to tote it around with him. It fits in his pocket. The words are a bit small but still a good book.

I am a shark spotter reading many guides and textbooks about such sharks as the great white and tiger shark. I all ways keep my shark pocket dictionary with me in my back pocket most of the time but it is not this one it is a first edition this is not but if you are looking to start sharking or just learning about sharks in general this is a good place to start.

Beautiful little informative book about sharks!!! Sharks are one of my special interests so I immediately fell in love with this book, but it does have a few flaws that keep me from giving it five stars. Some of the text is so small I have trouble reading it, so I can’t imagine children (which seems to be the demographic this is primarily aimed towards) would have an easy time reading it. The book was also water damaged upon receiving it, and it had a stain in the corner of the last couple pages. It has stains on the back as well and it’s disappointing to have a book I brought brand new arrive to me looking as though it was bought at a garage sale. For the price though it really is packed full of fascinating facts on over 170 sharks!!

This is a good little book on sharks. I like sharks and have a big book on sharks so I thought I'd get this little book on sharks so I'd have 1 big and 1 little one. Plus it easily fits in my purse compared to the big one for when I want to read about sharks on the go. Good book.

My toddler loves all creatures and one of them is sharks. I love the small size as it fits his hands perfectly and he loves flipping through them and looking at the photos.

Bought this for a friends kid for a a loot bag. They sure pack a lot of info and a lot of colourful photos in a pocket size book. DK has always made great books for kids.
