Threaded Tip Replacement Kit TK3/4

So, when using my extension pole from about 15’ up, when you knock it that far from the ground, the stock metal tip (cast metal) will break like mine did. Trying to find a replacement tip was a no go. I tried Lowe’s, Kelly Moore, True Value and Walmart. Nobody had a replacement. I bought it originally from Orchard Supply but they are closed since Lowe’s took them over so I took a risk and ordered this one here on Amazon. Getting to the item.... Item arrived quickly. Looked great. First let me say, I have a GAM WP-00395 extension pole. It doesn’t however fit my extension pole exactly. BUT, I was easily able to make it work. It was slightly smaller than mine. I had to cut my old one off. I resurfaced the end to prep for the replacement and added a pilot hole for the screw to expand the female end once inside my pole. I wrapped the female end with electrical tape until it was just starting to get tight. I split the bottom of the tape so the female tip would still expand once the screw was inserted. And Done! Works Perfect. Nice and solid. My pole even has a plastic slip on tip to prevent scratching whatever surface you are extending too. So, with a plastic paint roller handle and that little guard, it now covers this replacement tip other than the threads. I had to slightly shave that down too, but I wanted it right, protected and solid. Great inexpensive fix if you have any kind of mechanical / construction skills. If the time comes where I need another one, I will order this product again without any hesitation.

The adapter seemed like decent quality. It didn't fit my pole (Purdy 6-12 ft extension), so I didn't get to use it. However, it is metal, some sort of pot-metal. The screw threads match paint roller handles well, and it has a set screw to wedge it in the end of whichever handle it fits. These look like they function well. It just didn't go on my pole.

I like that it allows two screws to make the attachment permanent. It is cast in a solid fashion, very strong. It is a chunky piece, has a bit of mass to it. The screw part is properly sized, fits all my tools.

Good style but slightly small to fit my Purdy extension pole. Works with home made spacers so we’ll see how it holds up in actual use. Could be tougher material but certainly a good value and available/affordable.

It ok, does not always work with some handles very well.

I bought this extension pole adapter to use multi-purpose tools such as multi angle paint brush extension, plastic utility hooks, brush and tool holder. The threads of the adapter are too large to fit any of the standard tools that I also bought from Amazon. To be perfectly clear, the threads of the adapter are NON STANDARD and will not allow normal attachment of any general purpose extension pole tools.
