Extraordinary collection - so much so I bought a second copy for my AP of English - yup I is a teacher :) and I plan on using a lot of these stories going forward. they are short and a class can work it in a day - and the themes are varied enough to apply to most literature curriculums. I would say the ages would be from 7 - 12.

I was required to buy this book for my university's literature course, but I ended up loving this book! The stories are varied in their topics and styles of writing. Each story is 1-3 pages. This book is great for students who are interested in learning more about literature and short stories.

Although I did find many good short stories in this book, I found I really had to filter out a lot that were rather adult in topic. Good for upper high school, not so good for middle school.

A fine collection of short-short stories within the category of YAL. It provides the reader with a wide and profound scope of the underIying structure and thematics of Young Adult Fiction.

Great for use in high school English and Writing classrooms. Would be good for the school library, as well.

Had to buy for a lit class in college, enjoyed the selected readings.
