Perfect Replacement
This float switch was a perfect replacement on our Mercury 90 Four Stroke. Solved the fuel delivery problems we were experiencing at a reasonable price.

A simple fix
This is exactly what I needed. I watched a utube video and then I ordered the float . Part showed up in just a few days. Install went great and took the boat out for a trial run , 35 miles and not even a hiccup.

Perfect fuel tank sensor for the listed engines.
While it is the perfect fuel tank sensor for Mercury/Mariner motors, it is only for the lister motors. It is not for all Mercury motors.

Many possibilities.
Good working float switch. Uses limited only by your imagination. (and amperage rating, of course)

Seems to work fine, fit perfectly in my 90hp mercury outboard.

So far, so good
The saga of getting this part is crazy! This little part crapped out on our boat in July of 2020. Because of supply chain issues, the part was very difficult to find and then when it did come in it was wired incorrectly. The way it was manufactured meant you would have to destroy it to rewire it. Fast forward...four more switches, months and months of waiting on each one, and almost three years later... I finally got this one. It is still the same part, but made differently now. No longer a solid, poured rubber part you could actually take it apart and rewire it if you had to. Three years of not being fully able to use a very expensive toy was no fun. This little baby has caused a lot of angst to a lot of boaters in May of 2020. Today, I am excited to say that I can now get the boat back in the water and go as far, as fast, and as long as I want!

Yep well it works! I got stuck on the lake because the float got stuck in high position, meaning the fuel system wouldn’t get any fuel, making the engine starve for fuel. The boat shop wanted 150$ for the part and 3 hours to change it….. I decided to tackle the job. Not a big job by any means, took me about an hour. Went on the lake 5 times since the swap, no trouble at all, perfectly fine. ***information purposes : in my case, the float stuck in the high position (fuel cut, engine starving) but some people might have it stuck in the low position (fuel on, always) that would mean you will have fuel leak around the FSM box (fuel system management)

Ours failed and left us on the lake, after bench testing to confirm it was the float switch contacted Mercury for a new switch, over $200 and approx 3 weeks. Needless to say this was a great buy, perfect fit and arrived in 3 days. Spent the rest of the summer on the water not a trailer!
