The answer to the question in my review title is a resounding, “No.”I bought these (obviously) out of a necessity to be able to plug more than two things into a duplex receptacle without using a spike bar or a power strip. These are very well made, solid, but not hefty, and they are very low profile, keeping them close to the wall and not protruding so much as to get in the way. When I bought these, I also purchased some low profile, 1’ long extension cables that have right angle plugs on them to help further reduce how far things poke out of the wall. This helps keep furniture tightly against the wall, so that things don’t have to extend three or four inches from the wall. For the money, these are very much worth what you’ll pay (I bought the two pack option.) and I just ordered some additional ones for other places in the house.

Another excellent example of Anker’s quality. Great wall outlet surge protector for a fair price. The only negative to me is the positioning of the plugs at a horizontal orientation. This usually isn’t a problem, but I’ve had several issues where I couldn’t plug something in because it couldn’t physically be positioned sideways. Also the USB outlets being positioned on top of the unit is a bit odd; I’m used to seeing them on the front of similar products and that location just seems to be easier to use. Otherwise, fit and finish is great with a nice quality matte plastic material that doesn’t flex or rattle.

So Far It Hasn't Burned The House Down!Actually it is a bedside charger for my wife's cellphone. I bought an identical unit for the living room a few weeks ago and it has thus far worked out well.Now if she will just plug in her phone every night.

This extension plug is great. It allows me to connect multiple devices to a single wall socket, which is super convenient. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now with no problems at all. It was also very easy to set up.Overall, a solid and reliable product.

Decent thought could use more usb-c or isb ports but that’s ok.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was familiar with this brand, so comfortable buying a product type I’ve never really used. Installation was EASY and they include a long screw so it doesn’t fall off rod the wall. Built in USB charges charge my iPhone fast. Glad it had C type and the old style too. The two pack was helpful I put on on each side on my bed and now want to purchase more for my guest room, and living room!

This is great! They should be more common. It’s a power strip for when you don’t need an extension cable. If you just need more outlets and USB ports on the wall, this is a perfect option. Sometimes you don’t need an extension and you don’t want a cable on the ground but you just need more outlets in one spot. Very easy to use and it’s slim against the wall.

I love these! Six 110 outlets plus a USB-A and a USB-C output on the top. And the USB output seems to have some good voltage to it, it's similar to a fast charger. I no longer use my phone's charger, I simply plug the cord into the USB on the top of this.I didn't notice that I'd ordered a 2-pack, and, wanting 2 of these I put 2 in my cart. Imagine my surprise when I opened the first box and realized I now have 4 of these, ha ha, but that's a great thing. They go nice behind a TV or similar but also look sleek enough to leave out in the open.
