Tastes great and very easy to make great shrimp stock!
I really love this stuff! I use it to make a shrimp sauce for my shrimp and Krab stuffed Seafood Enchiladas. Living about as far from all of the coasts as physically possible, I do not have access to good shellfish stock ready made at a seafood counter, so I had been trying to find or make a good shellfish broth for that sauce for 3 decades, trying to replicate my favorite seafood enchilada dish from a local Mexican Restaurant that had closed 30 yrs ago, and I FINALLY managed to recreate the sauce using first the Knorr shrimp bouillon cubes, which are cheaper and do work but are hard as a rock and difficult to mix up odd sized batches of Shrimp broth, and were a real pain in the arse to get mashed up and dissolved completely, and not at all easy or quick to mix up just a bit more Shrimp broth if I need to adjust my sauce's thickness at the end with just a tiny bit more Shrimp broth,but then I saw this also available and gave it a try. SO glad I did, because it tastes even better and is WAY easier to use, being a wet paste style of soup base instead of a pre-portioned hard as a rock compressed cube. It is also super easy to mix up the exact amount of shrimp stock needed for whatever amount of sauce I want to make., and as strong as I want it to be, and is also very easy to mix up another 1/2 cup of Shrimp broth "on the fly" if needed to adjust my sauce at the end. At first I was concerned that I wouldn’t get it used up before the large jar went bad, but that has not been a problem at all, as it is so easy to use, and tastes so good, I seem to be going through a jar every 3 weeks.

I would give this five stars but is too salty. Wish that it came without salt as I had creole seasoning that already contained salt so I was not able to use it and thankfully I had the other ingredients on hand being that I cooked both a shrimp, chicken, and sausage gumbo along with an only seafood gumbo for two college daughters who no longer eat chicken for our Christmas dinner. This was my first authentic try at making gumbo so I had to keep adding low sodium broth and water to dilute the salt and feared that it would lose the shrimp broth flavor that I bought this product for in the first place, it arrived Christmas Eve. Thankfully, both gumbos were what I been craving for years since my aunt died. Here in Michigan these people selling gumbo that taste like box Zatarans and because I had the real stuff I was not satified and very frustrated with my meal that most times wanted to throw back in their faces. So I had to search online for an authentic recipe but to ensure great taste for the broth I searched for a seafood broth and came across this product. This gumbo was a gift to myself I swear I been graving for over 7 years ☺

If your making Seafood Gumbo, this product is the Cat's Meow! I made 10 quarts of seafood Gumbo over the weekend and used six quarts of the Swanson Seafood Stock and added 5 tablespoons of the Cook's Delight Shrimp Base. This product made my Gumbo so rich and smooth, I would challenge any New Orleans's restaurant to top my gumbo. And yes, I'm from Louisiana and know what great gumbo is suppose to taste like. I would highly recommend this in a seafood gumbo with Shrimp if you want the rich and creamy taste. Never ever use plain water to make GUMBO!

Doesn't have strong shrimp favor for making stocks.

Good stuff
My wife likes a shrimp curry soup that used to be made with a CAMPBELL Frozen Shrimp Soup .... a soup that is no longer available. Your product has made that old recipe work again. Very good.

I'm tasting salt.
I wanted this to have real shrimp flavor, but what I get is mostly saltiness. The best use I've found is adding it to water to boil shrimp shells for stock. But as a stand alone flavoring, not so much.

I used this base for a shrimp gumbo. It was flavorful. My gumbo was a success. I will buy again
