MaxtraxMKII Desert Tan Vehicle Recovery Board

First pair of Maxtrax, so we will see if they live up to the hype, the ones I had before these were some inexpensive amazon brand traction boards and they served me well the few times I had to use them and was able to get myself unstuck, a buddy out and a big rig (35 footer) out from a small dirt ditch that is was stuck in. Hence the reason I got a new pair after the big rig incident the old traction board were pretty toast, so decided on these but haven't had the need to use them...yet...so again we will see if they live up to the hype, if the old no name brand boards performed pretty good I would have to believe these outlast and out perform those one easily.

When the directions are followed, the product works well!

While I still think these are over priced (hence the single star dock) I have to say that when I got them out of the box I was very surprised at how heavy/dense the material they are made out of is. I do not know how many Youtube reviews and takes I have seen on these vs the cheapo option, they finally swayed me to go with these. General knock on the cheaper alternatives is that they will likely work once or twice in most situations a traction board will help, but they are going to need to be replaced. These last and take WAY more abuse particularly if using to bridge/ramp assistance. Buy once cry once I guess....

Well made and love the sand color I picked. Disappointed that mounting hardware is not included at this price.I have an Owl carrier I will attach it to. But now I need to find mounting hardware. Also there should be something that keeps the two pieces together when not in use. So I have to also find something to keep the 2 together while attached to the carrier . Just a little annoyed that they can't take care of a $10 part on a pricy equipment.
