Very different from a conventional belt, and as a result, it has some advantages and disadvantages:Advantages:- elastic allows for free movement up to the limit of the pants, adjusts to sitting, standing, bending over, etc.- no need to mess with the belt when going to the bathroom- no adjustment needed when used with similar pantsDisadvantages- more difficult to thread though belt loops since not smooth or uniform- more difficult to adjust length, since adjustment is not in front of you where it's easy to get to, and the adjustment mechanism is more involved- even though you are the same size, the spacing between the front belt loops may require different adjustments for different pants- no belt buckle apparent, best used when not visible due to shirt not tucked in, not suitable for some formal uses- additional stress on the front belt loops and clasp (button, zipper, etc.) will likely result in more wear and repair than with a conventional beltSo it just depends on which are more important to you, the advantages or the disadvantages ...

I liked the idea of this belt and I still feel like it's a decent product. My belly has an indent since my last child and so belts often will push into it, making it uncomfortable. That is why I was interested in this belt - as there was nothing in the front to cause extra pressure. I liked how it was adjustable and basically could have shared with my husband and it fit both of us. I often come across where I have my pants and shorts too loose in the back (causing my crack to show when bend -- not ideal). It did seem that the belt was helpful for that compared to traditional belts.I did decide to return it because of my main concern, which was the strain it placed on my belt loops - after testing it just for a few hours. I can tell that if I was to keep the belt, my loops would eventually rip off and cause me to have to repair.

This belt is awesome. I always hated having the lump in the front of my shirt from traditional belt buckles. Plus, I would often end up with a weird pale spot on the area of my shirt that would rub against the buckle. This solves those problems perfectly. I'm a bit concerned about how my two front belt loops will hold up to the pressure, but I've worn this almost daily for the four months I've had it and so far so good.edit on 02/28/18 - The belt is still going strong and it's now been about six months. I wanted to add that I'm plus-sized so I'm impressed that it's lasting as well as it is. The other major thing of note is that normally, I was the kind of person whose pants would still droop even while wearing a regular belt. With this on, they actually stay up really well! I'm super impressed and I would definitely buy another one. I'm thinking about getting one for my mom as well.

I like the fact that this belt doesn't have a buckle that sticks out. The weird thing about it is that it pulls your front belt loops (where you attach it) back, which looks funny.

I bought my first one on indiegogo cause I liked the idea. I bought the next one here on Amazon because I REALLY like it. I'm of a certain age where I have a bit hanging over my belt, and with this belt there is no pinching. Super easy to use, looks good, it's a real change to an item that's been basically unchanged for centuries.

I hate the look of a belt buckle bump under a long shirt, but I need a belt to prevent The Dreaded Butt Gap.Enter the FreeBelt! I can get rid of the butt gap and maintain a smooth appearance. It's easy to use. Snap, thread, snap, adjust. I just leave it on the pants I use it the most with until I wash them.It does pull on the belt loops a bit, but you can always adjust the length of the belt to adjust how much it pulls on your loops. I feel a bit like a toddler with elastic waist pants when I pull them up and down because you have to re-situate the elastic belt so your pants are straight and not bunched.I've recommended this belt alternative to every woman I know!

This belt is fantastic! Just as described, easy to use, and really holds up my pants in a very comfortable way.It also is very flexible in terms of length. Some pants I wear need one length, and others a different length. Very easy to change. Also easy to snap in place. Also, I am allergic to many belt buckle materials, and this fixes that problem...no buckle! HMy only 2 cons, and not serious enough to warrant fewer stars are: It would be nice if the piece that snaps on the pants were made of leather. Given the quality of the elastic and other parts, the material of the end piece would warrant a nice, leather. My other con is that it would be nice if it came in two widths. Some of my pants have narrow belt loops, so these just don't fit. I love the product so much, I'd buy another in a narrow if it existed.

So far I love this belt. I am a pear shape and have difficulty finding pants that fit me in the bootie and my waist. I get the horrible waist gap and saggy butt syndrome because my pants never fit properly. I’m also between sizes so I have that added challenge. I’m a size 14/16 and purchased the large. This belt is fantastically adjustable and pretty dang comfortable. Love that I no longer have the belt buckle digging in when I sit down. As other customers stated in their reviews this belt does put strain on the belt loops in the front but if/when they break I don’t see the problem with going to an alteration shop and getting it fixed. To me it’s irrelevant when I now only have to fix my pant maybe once or twice verses every couple minutes.

Bought this in grey for my husband who always needs a belt on jeans. Took a chance when ordering it as I'd never seen this product before. Arrived really quickly and the company use minimal, easy to open packaging. Product is such a good idea, so good in fact that it's difficult to believe no-one has come up with it before .... but perhaps that could be said of any new take on a classic item.Easy to adjust to the correct size and stays put once fixed to your belt loops. Very comfortable for all day wear, especially when sitting for long periods as no buckle to dig in. Only had it a couple of days but suspect we will be ordering other colours in due course.

I've been looking for something like this for years. I have curvy hips, but a slim waist, so need a belt on most of my jeans and trousers, otherwise, I spend all day hoisting them back up. To get things to fit my hips means that they're always baggy on the waist. I've tried other elasticated belts, but they bunch everything up too much. I've tried fabric D ring belts, and they're often too bulky. This has all the advantages of elastic, but no bulky buckle at the front, even the double layer bit of the belt is thin, and, I don't have to fanny about with buckles when I go to the loo. It solves so many irritations at the same time as keeping my jeans up. And it looks nice on. Highly recommend.

Was not sure about this when I hit the one click button, but thought I would try it.When it arrived yesterday I took a few moments to figure it out, then when I had finished laughing was about to bin it, but thought I should at least test it.Glad I did. Wearing it now and delighted! Why has nobody thought of this before?Cannot yet speak for longevity.I am concerned that if it stretches then it will stop working for me. I have the large size and to compensate for my current lack of hips (where o where did that trim waist go?) I am wearing it at its tightest setting. If it stretches then I will need to replace it with a smaller one and wear at full stretch.Anyway, at the moment I think this is brilliant.

This is brilliant, I like it so much I have ordered a second one, so I'm not constantly switching the belt between jeans and work trousers.Really works well, prior to getting my first belt, my trousers were always falling down, wriggling down over my now almost non existent butt and making me feel like I was one of the "yoof" who wear their trousers very low slung with the crutch somewhere south of their nether regions....Now I can confidently walk and jog about and my trousers stay reliably up round my butt, so much more comfortable and reassuringly secure.Love it, love it, love it..... highly recommend!!!

I've had my eye on these for a while and when my leather belt snapped I decided to give them a try. I'm a UK 14-16 and bought size S. It fits perfectly with plenty of room still if I needed to loosen it.The buttons are metal and once clipped onto my belt loops they stayed closed all day.No more pulling up jeans or struggling with an awkward buckle poking holes into my t-shirts!My jeans stayed in place all day and that's with bending over, sitting and walking. Something my leather belt didn't quite manage unless I pulled it so tight it hurt to breathe.The material is stretchy and didn't scratch my skin because it stayed where it was supposed to. Other belts have the habit of slipping up and over my jeans but not this one.I've already recommended to friends and will be getting another myself!
