These are comfortable and I’ve got a few thst I’ve been using as compression briefs; most Matman stuff I’ve used is good quality, if occasionally undersized.These are fairly high-cut briefs, and there’s an extra panel of some different fabric up front, which might be tight mesh or something that feels like construction paper, apparently depending on when and whence you buy them. They may be cut a little narrow between the leg holes and aren’t cut to pouch at all, so more …extensive naughty bits might try to escape.So unless you’re going to be strutting about town in these, I recommend going down a size and removing (carefully) the liner panel. They’ll fit a little better for general use that way (especially if your bits wouldn’t fit well with the liner), though they’ll obviously be thinner and stretch out more with wear.If linerless (or just double-layered, which I wish Matman’d’ve gone with), these would get Inform, five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐; as-is, four.

Purchased this elastic brief to wear beneath my swim trunks. It affords security and peace-of-mind. Also comfortable and dries quickly.Very similar in construction, elasticity, and fit to my Speedo trunks, which I wear beneath my wet suit.
