It works as advertised. I was lucky got the 26A battery [larger than 26] in the package. Everything fits. The bounce adapter works well and i usually leave it on all the time. I am used to TTL flashes. This one works as well as the Brand ones i have for other cameras. Have not tried the wireless function. The different accessories fit easily. Adjusting flash output is easy. Switching different modes is easy. At lower power setting painting with light [off camera] is easy with long exposure. [Not including photos as it is of family]. I tried using the MODELING LIGHT as a video light [that is why i did not get the VX1 model] and it worked well as the intensity can be adjusted. I aimed for just making it light enough to record so got low light effect also. Since the light points ahead I was able to quickly take a flash bounced photo without interrupting the low light video. Mostly take baby & people photos. If i decide to go for a second flash I will probably buy another one of these and link them wirelessly. It has a good solid build. Locks on the camera hotshoe. Flash charger works well. I have not recharged it this year and the battery seems to have lot of power still. Definitely worth buying.

Excellent, and even the warranty works. I have owned two of these for three years, and as an electronics engineer, I spotted a failure IN ONE OF THEM after six months of use. I appealed to Godox for replacement, and though I had to go through the tiny reseller who seemed to operate out of a shack in Pennsylvania somewhere, I got my replacement for free. I test my speed lights under harsh lighting conditions, and the exposure calculator is reliable and believable. No need to whip out formulas and a slide rule or calculator. The actual flash varies sometimes (only occasional aberration), so multiple snapshots are recommended. Overall, I'm delighted to be an owner of the Godox ecosystem for my Sony camera investment.

This flash is definitely expensive but turned out to be an amazing all-around work-horse flash. I am team sony and it was important I upgrade and get a flash that can read the settings on my camera. This flash does. It is made of plastic and feels a bit cheap but what's inside it makes the flash worth it. I love the fact it has a battery and can act as a transmitter and receiver. Also, I am a magmod user and bought a few diffusers from that company to put on top of the flash. The flash becomes loose under the weight of the diffuser. Be aware of that (see pics attached). Overall, this is an amazing flash and is a match for it's price. I am really happy I upgraded and already put it through intensive tests which the flash passed with flying colors.

I had a few cheaper flashes that I've been using for years (about $40 per). Those got the job done but once I upgraded to the sony A1 camera with electronic shutter I needed an updated flash. Those cheap flashes would only work with a mechanical shutter and not with the electronic one. At first V860II caught my attention but then I noticed the new version came out. I bought this flash because newer is always better, right? LOL Anywho, I already used this flash at 5 photoshoots and couldn't be happier. It is carrying a hefty price tag but in return I am getting a reliable flash offering: 1) rechargable battery instead of wasting 4 AA batteries 2) working ability with the electronic shutter 3) the ability to be a receiving and transmitting flash Overall, professional, reliable and versatile flash for someone who takes photography more than a hobby.

I'm a pro photography and I needed a hot shoe flash for my Sony A7Riv. This little flash is not very powerful, but I use it outdoors on full power and keep my Sony in Manual mode. I shot an event in bright sunshine at F9, shutter 1/125 and ISO 100. All I needed was something to counter the shadows on people's faces and it worked fine. It is cheaper than the Sony flashes and I think it works better. If you need a lot of power (more than 76 guide number, you better look elsewhere. But for the money, this thing is great.

Excellent product that works as advertised. Balances well on my a74 and has plenty of power for what I need. Battery life is brilliant and it lasts all week with light daily use. The only issue for me is the hot shoe connection. It’s a very tight fit and needs to have my full attention to attach it, this is also a benefit as it’s very tightly attached and does not move or wobble while on the camera. It’s also made of plastic so I’m not certain how long it will last. Overall for the price, it’s a great product.

I have a studio flash which I really like, but sometimes it is difficult for me to transport it because of its size and weight when I am working alone, so I needed a device with good characteristics and portable. One of the features I was looking for the most was high speed sync. The truth is that I really liked this Godox and it meets my expectations. The other great feature it has that I really like is the battery that replaces AA batteries. That is a big plus! I use it with the Godox X-Pro S controller and it is a great kit. I'm seriously thinking about selling my Neewer brand studio flash and buying a Godox to complement this rig. Great investment. Highly recommended. I share some photos taken in HSS 1/2000, 1/4000 and 1/8000 with a lantern diffuser and at 1/2 and 1/4 of its maximum power. I hope this data helps you.

As a freelance photographer, I wear many hats that usually test my equipment to the max. This Godox V860III has met my expectations. During evening parties, the front-facing modeling light helped a ton. Able to dial the intensity of the modeling lamp aid throughout the night. I used to feel uncomfortable with my V860II on the hotshoe but not anymore. This quick release lock gives me the reassurance that it's locked onto the camera safely when shooting. This speedlight also works well with my other Godox flashes. With the 2.4Ghz wireless tech, I can still trigger them all without lag. This speedlight is capable of multiple tasks. Switching modes on the fly like Manual, TTL and multi-flash makes it so versatile. This battery lasts longer than the previous one for sure. I can definitely recall shooting half to quarter power for 600-750 shots. This flash doesn't leave the camera now. It was well worth the purchase!!!

I am quite happy with the flash, though I am still looking for a way to make it remote as well. Big challenge is using the camera in portrait shooting style when flash is on, as it difficult to bounce the flash of the ceiling that way (which makes sense)

I bought 2 of these flashes to add to my gear bag. I have been looking for a way to easily add more light at dark venues during receptions and these fit all of my requirements. Also having a high capacity battery that charges with USB-C is also a major plus. These batteries last a whole wedding, without any worry which is major (Not having to swap batteries mid shoot). I was amazed just how EASY they were to setup out of box. (also bought Godox X2T Transmitter) which after a minute of choosing my Chanel, group, and ID's they were firing on demand. They are super easy to change the brightness on the fly with the transmitter and lit up a whole room flawlessly. I am even considering retiring my old Canon Speedlight flashes and replacing them all with these Godox ones! They are just so easy to setup for a wireless setup!

I had originally purchased a GODOX TT350F for my XT5 but found it a little underpowered for my needs. Enter the GODOX V860III-F! boy what a world of difference. Both were of good build quality but this feels a bit more premium, and love all the little extras. Comes with a protective case of good quality for storage. Performance (although I've only used it for one day, all day though) has been just what I was after. I do Macro photography and the battery on my previous flash was not great, this is superb. Would defo buy this model again. Seller sent the item nice and fast too.

V860-IIIS (S stands for Sony). I purchased this flash to mount on to my Sony A7R3, and I am satisfied with the product. Just mount it on the camera and you are good to go, as the set up is as simple as opening a can of soda. I use the TTL auto mode with auto settings and it works great. The front dual option light/flash gives an added versatility of using it as a light, flash or not use it at all. The flash includes an array of coloured cards, which helps a photographer to be creative and experiment with adding colour to flash light. The flash head can be tilted at direction and can be used in combination with other off-camera flashes. A good product!
