Great memories for me. Solid option for the kids.
Nostalgia for me. Piqued curiosity for the kids 4 and 3). Some of the endings were a little scary for littles.

Beautifully illustrated & intriguing for the little ones!
I loved Choose your own Adventure books as a kid, and couldn't wait to introduce them to my own children who are 5 & 8. I chose to start with one that had full-color illustrations and this sure did start us off right! It is a beautifully illustrated book, with heavy pages that will stand up to many readings. The children love taking turns picking the adventures while we read at bedtime and are totally blown away that the story can be over, and start again, without having reached the back cover!!!

Our 6-year-old absolutely devoured these!!
My husband grew up with choose your own adventure books and once our son started to learn to read at school we were burning through books left and right and weren't really purchasing any books except for going to the library. These books my son has read for months over and over because each different choice leads you into a different storyline.

I have 2 daughters, 10 and 7. My 10 year old is dyslexic and reading is a struggle for her. We got a CYOA book for her from a used book store and she fell in love. She reads a little bit of it nearly everyday and it's so great to see her excited about reading. Our 7 year old is a born reader and has always loved books, but the CYOA we bought the older girl is still a little advanced for the young one. This CYOA, however, is perfect for her level and she loves reading it as well!

Bought this for my 7yr old and what a great find to have a choose your own adventure about a robot! So many fun and wild stories in there that even an adult would enjoy with the imagination used to write this book. A timeless classic!

I purchased this book for a five year old little boy based on the positive reviews. The book is rated for 5 to 8 year old. After receiving the book, I checked the endings beforehand to make sure they're appropriate, and they are not positive. One ending has the boy turned into a robot and stuck on an alien planet. Another storyline has a junk man screaming to the boy and his robot that "I am going to mash you and your robot to bits". Another storyline ends with the robot shutting himself down because he can't fly anymore, despite the boy efforts. Another storyline end with the boy and robot in jail and the robot groans to the boy "I WISH YOU HAD LEFT ME IN THE TRASH ... AT LEASE THE FOOD WAS GOOD". Such negativity is not appropriate or necessary for a five year old child.

Great for beginners or any children aged between 6 and 9 who are new to the Choose Your Own Adventure concept. I brought this book for my 8 year old son, it is easy for him to read as it has large print, not too much text and lots of bright and colourful pictures. In this story, your character finds a broken robot in the trash and has to make various decisions about how to repair it and then what adventure to have with the robot. The book has 69 pages and there are 12 possible endings. The story is fun and exciting and my son loves choosing different stories depending on what page he turns to. The only negative is that it is an American book and therefore refers to mom & dad and uses $ instead of £. The author is the same RA Montgomery who wrote the choose your own adventure books back when I was a child and he still writes exciting fast paced action packed stories. I will definitely be getting some more of these.

I had choose your own ending books as a child so wanted to share the experience with my son. He loved choosing what would happen next and encouraged him to pay attention. Lots of possible endings so we go back to this book a lot and it does get boring.
