DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIVE IN AUSTRALIA
This is useless if you live in Australia. The company claims on their website regarding cylinders:"UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILTY - The FIZZPod can be used with any Standard 60L C02 Cylinder from any brand"This is absolutely FALSE. Fizzpod can only be used the USA cylinders. As I have found out the hard way, the thread on cylinders in Australia as different to that of the US, meaning our cylinders will not screw on to the unit without damaging and destroying it. That is not 'universal'Drinkpod have not responded to my emails requesting an Australian gas compatible cylinder connector/internal piece, or a USA version of the cylinder valve so that I can attempt to get it refilled here.Drinkpod also do not ship USA gas cylinders to Australia.Do not buy if you live in Australia.

Easy to use, simple product without the bells and whistles
I'll begin by saying that I don't understand any reviews complaining about no CO2 tank included. That is clearly indicated in the description and reflected in the price... My sodasteam CO2 tank purchased in 5 minutes at Canadian Tire was already sitting on my counter waiting when the product arrived, only 2 days after I ordered... so what's the problem? Net cost of the cylinder is $16, plus $20 for the first fill that you will pay anyways when empty. Upfront is therefore $36 to factor into the price. Now onto the product itself. Basic design, does what it needs to do with no hassles, and more importantly in my case no bells and whistles, no electrical components to break, all just basic physics of injecting a gas into water, simple! Small footprint on the counter, no power cord, just a plastic machine that injects CO2 into your bottle when you press the top.You press on the top to carbonate, stop when desired to your taste. No auto-this-is-how-we-think it should be. My first try was a bit too carbonated, I got a bit over-excited... I'll decrease to match my personal preference.Best parts about this so far:-Small footprint on the counter-top... I don't need another hunk of plastic on the counter.-I really like the simple design, I choose when to start and stop... maybe less next time...-Fits the standard CO2 cylinder used by all the common brands.. and also the adapter should one choose to "adapt" this to fit a 10lb tank under the counter instead of $20 per refill... just saying!Cons:-The unit is tall - has to be as the common cylinder is 16 inches tall. But the bottles also. just under 15 inches each. As others have mentioned, they are tall to fit in a fridge, so either you rearrange your door shelves or lay them down.-The instructions are laughable.... the pictures are ok though... in the end it's a really simple concept, so easy to figure out. But step 1 is "suggest use", it's downhill from there.-It remains a 100% plastic product, so time will tell on durability, but my expectations are low.

Useless. Never Worked. Bad Customer Service.
I took a risk and ordered this machine, despite a number of negative reviews, but now I wish I hadn't.It was posted to me here in Australia in the same box that it would be in if you were to pick it up off the shelf from down at the shops. There was No padding.I purchased a brand new CO2 60L cylinder in anticipation of trying it out, but when I went to screw it in, it didn't feel right. So, I contacted them to confirm that the CO2 cylinder that I had purchased was compatible with the machine, and the next day they confirmed that it was, so I continued with "installing" the cylinder and tried it out. Nothing. I tried everything I could think of to give it a fair go. I undid it, reinstalled the cylinder multiple times. Still nothing.I contacted them about it, and they told me to email them a video of me trying to use the machine. I did so the very next day, 25 September. Come the 29th, I emailed them again, asking if they had received my email, as I hadn't heard anything from anyone. On the 30th, I emailed them again to give them 24 hours to get back to me before I lodged a return ticket. Still nothing. I have sent it back to them (packaged up far better than how I received it), and am now awaiting my refund.Terrible customer service, and one giant waste of time.

If you're looking for bubbles turn away.
So, for cleaning this is a bit tough as the bottom part doesn't screw off and these bottles are really, really long. They don't make their own Co2 bottles so you need to buy sodastream ones. This one I find leaves a bit more of a taste that it does bubbles. It doesn't really fizz at all like perrier or anything. It just kinda tickles the tip of your tongue a little and it tastes gross. The machine is also pretty flimsy, it's made of cheap plastic. I'd say buy a sodastream they work better.
