Q: What keeps the id clip from coming unsnapped? all the retractable holders i’ve used tend to pop the snaps open eventually at some point.

So I get rid of the plastic snap and use a key ring holder, I also purchase a hard clear plastic iD sleeve or leather one and thread the key ring through that and onto the badge holder. These do come with a heavy duty snap holder. But we use is badge on the construction site a lot and turn styles. Hope this helps. If you use the snap holder. Use clear packing tape and scissors and tape the snap shut. Another old school tip

I’d say it’s about as quiet as you could ask for a mechanical device. Definitely less noise than the cheap ones. Do you work in a nitroglycerin plant? 😉
