I've been a magician for a long time, but this trick brings me right back to the beginning of my career, as I had one of these in one of my first magic sets as a child, so recapturing some of that fun was a great nostalgic experience for me.I'm happy to report that this version works just as well as the one I had as a child, so I have no complaints about the quality. Obviously it's cheap plastic construction, but this trick has ALWAYS been cheap plastic construction, so that's part of the fun for me. The important thing is that it works properly, and it absolutely does.I deduct one star from my rating, though, because the instructions are not of particularly high quality. There are links to two online videos pasted to the inside of the box. One of them is a broken link, but the other works. However, the video doesn't necessarily provide all the information you need to understand how this trick works if you didn't have one as a child. The visuals on the video provide about 3/4 of what you need to know. Perhaps the verbal instructions clarified the rest, but as the video wasn't in English, I couldn't understand what was being said.The good news is that it's not a terribly difficult prop to operate. I have no problem with it personally because I've known the trick for decades. If you're a magician or had one of these as a child and you know how it works, the lack of instruction won't be a problem for you. However, if you DON'T know how it works, you may need to know a bit more than the instructions will tell you.Without giving away the secret of the magic trick, what you need to know that the instructional video doesn't tell you is that there's a sort of "reset" button on the BOTTOM of the device. Press that with the tip of the sword, and then the trick will work exactly as expected and exactly as shown in the instructional video.

They gave a link to 2 video and both are in Japanese. Nothing in English. I can't understand what the person is saying in the video and I can't figure out how this works.

Product is a A piece of junk. Didn’t work at all total waste of money. Very disappointed !!!!!

Occasionally works. Shipping package not protective enough. No instructions included. Seller should check it works before sending.
