Used these on my upright freezer door to pull the door closed. New freezer door did not close automatically - this did the trick. Works really well. Don't worry about spoiled food if someone doesn't shut the door all the way - this retractor does it.

Weird mechanism that has enough tension but it is so slow and weak that my door stays open at 3” from frame. No wind, nothing stopping it, just pulls the door until “almost” closes and leaves it at 3” every time…. Disappointing to market as stronger and precise while does not even shut the door

Bought this to try to keep an upright freezer door close after losing over $1000 worth of food due to a door left open.tl;dr- it does the job, for a lot less than the price of the food that spoiled.Adhesive has worked great, I wiped down with alcohol to make sure I had a good surface to cling to.Door is a bit harder to open than it was before, but not a deal breaker.When I first mounted this way, the loop on the closer was popping off the hook. I added a carabiner-type hook which fits tightly under the hooks, this solved the problem. It appears the door actually starts closing fast than the closer and creates some slack in the line.It does the job. It’s less than $15. It’s not perfect. 4 stars.

Love this and love less flies when my kids leave the back door open

I orderd this is it has better pull strength. I used it for one of my door. It worked but finally string broke after use of 5 months or so.

Huge upgrade compared to the old one door doesnt slam near as hard as the older version but has more pulling strength. Should have an option to buy another buffer gear to slow it further but i like it!

Last one year long not bad according price.buy twice.

I purchased this in October of 2022 and it worked fine for a few months but the string snapped in half in March of 2023. Aldo do not use the adhesive, we screwed ours in. It was the only way it would stay on.
