Noodler's Ink Fountain Pen Bottled Ink, 3oz - Kung te-Cheng

My favorite Noodler's blue
Kung Te-Cheng is my favorite Noodler's blue ink: rich, dark, but still prominent blue, with the four qualities that the best Noodler's inks possess (according to the company's information sheet): (1) "UV resistant, bleach resistant, etc." (2) "Archival, fade-resistant" (3) "Impervious to lasers, alcohol, solvents - ideal for security documents" and (4) "Partially or fully waterproof". Indeed, Kung Te-Cheng seems to be fully waterproof, as my test exposing the dried ink to water (well, to saliva on my thumb) shows it not to smudge. If you like a darker blue than most of the Noodler's offerings, that won't fade or wash out, then I highly recommend this one. Just be careful! The bottle is filled to the top, and if you spill it you'll face quite a challenge cleaning it out of whatever it soaks into.UPDATE: I'm having problems with this ink clogging my pens. So I'm taking 2 stars off. No other Noodler's ink that I''ve tried has this problem like this one does. I can see why this particular ink isn't more popular, given this problem.

Excellent color
Kung te-Cheng is a pleasing purple-blue ink which is archival and, as Noodlers terms it, Bullet Proof. When dry It will smear slightly if immersed in water but it still remains quite readable.

Love this ink
I love love this ink. Beautiful dark blue. And it is a permanent ink.

Its not purple really, its royal blue
I am super happy with my purchase, it has the shade of royal blue i wanted, ink flows nicely, not a thick ink. Perfectly good on regular paper and the cheapest copy paper too. Recommend it. Probably a good investment to buy a pen like playinum preppy that keep their nibs wet since the ink is permanent.
